Mercedes has been consistent in saying its W15 is a step forward compared to the recalcitrant W13 and W14 cars. But the Mercedes W15 has not exhibited competitive pace for 2 consecutive race weekends, putting doubt on the W15's claimed performance potential. Lewis Hamilton and Toto Wolff believe there may be a 'fundamental' issue with the W15 they are trying to understand, as Hamilton's move to Ferrari seems sensible with every day passing.
