It seems like yadi and puig's throws wouldve gotten him if they were accurate but that's the beauty of speed it makes you rush. Excited to see this kid play for years
@jackson5116
@jackson5116 6 лет назад
yup, especially that second throw from Molina. If he doesn't bounce it, it could very easily get him, but rushed throws lose accuracy every time. That's how Whiteyball worked, make the defense rush their plays, force errors on them, scratch, claw and get the one run you can, hold it with spectacular gold glove defense, and you'll win more often than not.

His batting average is .273 right now which is impressive for a rookie. Also his slugging percentage is over .400 and he has 31 stolen bases. I realize your comment is old, bit I don't care :)

I just checked the record books and if he breaks records it's gona be real confusing cus somebody with the exact same name is up there in steals with Ricky Henderson. In the 1890's he was stealin over 100 bases a season. how scary is that, he could be the reencarnation of billy hamilton or is immortal and never died.

he won't have the major league record, only the minor league record, because his bating average in the majors is too low to get on enough times to reach 100. He may be leading the majors every year in steals, but it's a different game today, 50 is great now, but in the 80's when guys with .300 averages were stealing 100, it was a different time. Unless he can up his average, he won't get on enough to reach 100 steals in a season. Major leagues are the top in the world, it's why he can't come close to the major league record

Matt Mcgavin Puig has unbelievably large hands. He has a great arm but what he is also exceptionally good at picking up the ball BARE HANDED(lol), picking it up to his ear and chucking it in a split second. I can't think of any outfielder who gets rid of the ball faster than him. And I think it's because most people can't palm a ball, and then grip it with two fingers as fast as him. Large hands help lol
@joseavila7597

You can technically leave anytime you want to, but most people leave on the pitchers motion.
@pvillefootball11
@pvillefootball11 9 лет назад
With a right handed pitcher as soon as he lifts his front foot he is required to throw to the plate or it is considered a balk. Therefore, as soon as a righty lifts his foot you take off. Lefties require a little more work but you can still leave whenever you want.
@blasterjosh
@blasterjosh 9 лет назад
Matthew Jackson yeah, you can leave any time you want to, but I wouldn't reccomend when the guy's checking to see who's on the bases. There was a good one clip on mlb of a guy running to home base after a slow throw to first base
