My great grandfather was a brewer for hamms 1903-1953 . 50 year employee He did receive the coveted ultra rare 50 year employee 14k lord Elgin watch .. it looks nice on me .

TYVM for the film that's a treasure for sure. Films like this are more than what they convey but a true testament of years gone by that have to be remembered. A truly bipartisan effort going on there folks.

They let the old brewery become an abandoned ruin. Jacob Schmidt was brewmaster early on there in Swede Hallow. This was just before they thought of the Bear adds. Looks like about 1953 to me, what a cool time for our country.

What an amazing ending. To me, it should be the start of a movie about Gaia herself

Hamm's Beer was a wonderful Beer!

Born and raised across the tracks from the grain elevators. Played many ball games in the malthouse parking lot and knew several water fountains around the property. St. Paul Brewery occupies the old brewhouse portion of the site.

Back when the beer was in St Paul Minnesota now it's brewed in Milwaukee at the Miller brewery I wasn't around when it was brewed in St Paul Minnesota nice video Hamm's the beer refreshment

Its a shame how they let a great beer die!! I love hamms and they only need put it in bottles and 6 packs of bottles. Then bring back a revamped hamms bear campaign and commercials. Promote!!!! This beer is a classic and deserves better!!! #lovehamms

Love this vid. However, some of it I don't understand. They refer to Theo Hamm sought the "Sky Blue Water" and from what I've read, Theo Hamm knew very little on how to brew beer. However in this film they make it sound like he was the brew master. But I guess that's how they paid homage to the man who got it all started.

Gosh this is depressing seeing how good life used to be. Now the plant is abandoned and the once proud beer from Minnesota is made in Wisconsin.

From what I could make out at the end this was produced around 1958. Everything looked shiny and up to date, even the trucks at the end looked new. Not much left but the remaining buildings these days. I believe the micro brew Flat Earth Brewing is using part of them today.

Must have been filmed before 1951,as they eliminated the tax meter within the brewery.
