How many casts can you make in a minute? What about in an hour? In four hours? In this video, I show an approach that yields 540 casts per hour average, and catches more fish than traditional "power fishing".
That blue Bates reel looks great. If it fishes as good as it looks that is one awesome reel. Going to have to try this technique. I admit I’m a little lazy haha. Much thanks for all you do Jeff.
I am super interested in the byes reels. Not exactly enthused about the price. But American made, solid cnc’d body, and pretty darn sexy to boot! Maybe one day I’ll get the chance to splurge and grab one
I will add that It’s a workout fishing that way even with the motor. I’m a big fan of using my elbow like Rus to keep everything hands free and in doing so it becomes a very fluid motion advancing. The throttle on the 1103 is so smooth and precise. You really should try and adopt it Jeff it helps immensely!
I loved this video! I took 2 pages of notes. I especially liked the general river knowledge you covered since I'm new to the river game. Keep up the great work! We don't have shad in the New River, so would you still use a white Jackhammer for the visual benefit, or would you go with something like gold?
I will be honest, this looks miserable to me lol. The whole point of me fishing is to chill out, enjoy where I am at and get more connected to Mother Nature. The Wall Street way of fishing just isn’t for me.
