This is so wonderful! Where would you recommend getting a hammered dulcimer from? I have been looking into getting one for awhile now but haven't been sure where to even start.
The one I play is from songbird dulcimers, and they make some sturdy dulcimers at a good price. However the nicer end dulcimer companies that are preferred by most players are masterworks and dusty strings. If your like me though and just starting, songbird dulcimers are great (and cheaper).
I just got my very first hammered dulcimer (means that I am a total beginner) and it will certainly be the last one that I buy because it sounds so wonderful. It is a RCE extended range from Master Works which is rather big. Master Works also has smaller and cheaper instruments which sound great, too. It is worth it to save some money and wait for a while and then buy an instrument of high quality. Practicing is each time a joy for me. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Z9GZb713CWQ.html
