It was fantastic to meet up for a camp with ‪@simonablokeinthewoods‬ in such a beautiful, vast pine forest in East Anglia. We hanged up our hammocks in view of a gorgeous sunset to witness wild deer roaming as we cooked our meals.🦌🌲

Simon told me check out your video Josh so I am a new one on your RU-vid video. Yes! I like it when you bring in the nature and listen what's going around in the forest. The only thing I didn't like the video was a little dark to see Simon preparing that great food. Look! be nice to Simon he is a good man very respectful person Simon got a really good soul. I been watching Simon for a real long time. It's good to see you guys doing these videos to teach other people to camp better campers, clean up after your self.I can see the same technique you use to start a fire as Simon, who taught who.

Before I could legally hunt deer in California at that time--one had to be minimum age twelve--nearly seven decades ago, some of my first outdoors experiences were enjoyed not far from Wrightwood. I would accompany my father on a few of his deer hunts at a place called Big John Flats. A couple years earlier, my folks ignited a life-long love of the outdoors in me with a simple picnic outing to a lake located somewhere on the San Andreas Fault. I haven't identified the site on satellite images, but it seems to me that the lake was named "Secret" or "Hidden" or "Lost Lake" or some synonym of that meaning. I was less than five-years-old, but I still remember being fascinated by carpenter ants in a pine stump.
