What is the best advice one can give to anyone visiting Hampi?
How about, don't try and walk along an unknown path in 40-degree temperatures with only half a litre of water left, knowing there would be no water source or any people around for some considerable time...
I was near total exhaustion after not eating all day and having very little water left, and also the oppressive heat. Managing to find a spot on the path that offered shade, I took a rest and hoped I would have enough energy, not just to reach the top, but to get down the other side as well...
