Motsi Mabuses heartfelt response was so beautiful. She is entirely right African music should be broadcast much more than it is the very definition of what unites us.
Their lifts and musicality week after week are breathtaking. I think hamza is my favourite contestant ever and ive watched every series. He is a joy to watch
THANK YOU HAMZA AND JOWITA. I have watch Strictly for 20 years and it never crossed my mind to see an African dance on Strictly. I thank the both of you!!
Just watched the dance and then this and I'm in bits. I love this song and never in a million years did I ever expect it to be on Strictly. Congrats, Hamza.
When this series started, I didn’t think I would enjoy it as much as I did last year, because Rose and Giovanni were such a special partnership…and then Hamza and Jowvita come along! Every dance they’ve done has made me smile, and I really hope they win this year 🥰
Motsi ❤ this has to be my favourite on strictly 2022. We need to see more of this 😍 hamza is a joy and I am rooting for him!!! Jowita is amazing 😍 she was enjoying that so much too!!!
I never had a clue who Hamza was before Strictly but from day one he has brought joy to our screens. Craig needs to remember this man has never went to dance or drama school. He is a behind the scenes giant beauty but tonight he shone like the African King he is. I pray he wins ❤️
The lifts were amazing and the comments were so deserving. Craig needs to realize that sometimes the contestant's body has a natural way of being and a week on Strictly is not going to change it. He does not give any respect for that!! Also, he needs to study how elephants really communicate. The ending was representing the elephants.
That's what I thought. For me, it was a natural 'winding down' to a dance full of more frenetic naturel/animal-inspired movements. I'm by no means an expert on Afro Fusion dance but I have done my fair share of music festivals over the years and seen quite a bit of African dance (although that descriptive itself covers a huge diversity). I think Craig was judging this on the style of choreography he is familiar with where there's a dramatic end on the final beat of the music. But many of the African dances I have seen continue until they reach a natural end, or go into another dance.
Craig wasn't meaning the very end, with the 'elephant walk' they went out of sinc with each other before that bit. If you watch it again it was just a part when they kicked and came forwards. I loved the dance & hamza is such a lovely gentle man.. sunshine indeed. 🌞
We can't afford to have a TV licence at the moment. Can anyone tell me if Strictly is uploaded to RU-vid quite fast please? Is there a particular place on here that's reliable to a quick upload or anything? We had to choose heating over TV...
Craig's comments were simply wrong - they were not out of time at the very end, the dance was over ther was no music but they just did not want to stop
Craig scores low just so he can be the famous bad guy, look how many other judges have been replaced....no way that was only an 8 glad they went in to win it
Craig and Anton are the only judges to speak truth I can't stand constantly positive responses always it's boring and not true the man can't win a final littrally how it's so obvious this is meant to be for high quality dancing not comedy show
It’s cute but just a silly dance - they didn’t cure a disease or discover alien life. And it’s not like this is ballet and they trained and worked for years. It’s just an entertaining little dance. The being choked up and gushing like that and trying to describe it like sone world changing thing - they want this whole thing to be bigger and validated more than it warrants
well the predictions was right the BBC wanted a ethnic person to win he was never CRITIQUED all through the show even when he went wrong on so many levers !!! I will never watch strictly ever again one big FIDDLE
Yeah...I know...that makes 4 ethnic people as winners...one was an ethnic English cricketer! I mean they even let women, deaf people and people from Essex win! The BBC have lost the plot...they even allow the final only be voted for by the British public with no judges scores! And even though he got the lowest advisory scores in the final, the public voted for the ethnic person anyway! What next...an Irish person?! Happy Christmas Terry.
And gosh Terence, don't forget all those ethnic professional dancers, and at least 3 judges of 'foreign' ( ie not English) descent ... is that a "fiddle" also?!!
