I had a near death experience too. The things I saw I swear if I was an atheist Christian or whatever I would have converted to islam, but Alhamdulillah I was already a muslim. I saw my whole life like a video in front of me then I was shown every major sin I had committed and so much more(can't share every detail) which is exactly what islam and the quran say.

Is it possible for one to enjoy their life to such an extent that when they think of the possibility of their death that their imagination really gets going and comes up with all kinds of scenarios to get around the concept of death? Would the potential God of this person believe this is a productive way for one to spend their life?

Was it a good or a bad thing that Kuhn didn’t even ask one critical question? It did allow Hanson to finish his story and expose all these amazing ideas. It reminds me of the reason that Robert Crumb abandoned his idea to draw a parody of Genesis (he draw a literal version instead). He had discovered that the original text was completely ludicrous all by itself-no parody required. I’ve studied religions, and I still can’t understand that a grown up man can believe any of these baseless fantasies. With every detail that Hanson supplied his story became more unbelievable. Note also that a lot, perhaps most, of the details that Hanson gives here are only found in the Hadith, which are mostly convenient after the fact fabrications. Unsurprisingly, even among believers there are those that simply reject the Hadith, but the problem with that move is that most of the Qur'an is incomprehensible without those much more recent (sometimes conflicting) background stories and interpretations (as I understand it tafsir relies substantially on the hadith, and the two overlap to some extend, but ignoring that, my point is that all these stories and commentaries are much later than the Qur'an and with few exceptions cannot be relied upon to explain what the Qur'an actually tried to convey). I happen to own _The Study Quran_, so I have access to Hanson’s article. Humbly i say that i do actually study and i've learned ancient methods of inquiry. To say something or make a claim too indirectly posits what hasn't been said or claimed. This is most important when is comes to the inquiry of Soul or medium. Persons with a lack of knowledge jest over the postulation and apprehension of soul. What they fail to acknowledge is 'what happens or occurs when the soul is denied? This fact indicates those persons of whom in denying soul neither have a grounded understanding of how all this works in precluding the soul. These nihilists think themselves intelligent too. They stand as if any such discussion is deemed religious therefore nonsensical. One can make an assertive and affirmative of a claim; too, by denying something, such as the soul, one is making indirectly a claim. Nihilists will say many things contrary to this truth of inquiry. Regardless, if one denies soul they place themselves in a most difficult position and most never care to reconcile themselves because they only adhere to their kin, as they caress one anothers ego making verbal love in reification.

This video paints a bad picture upon theology; some consider this Theology. They use stuff like this video as a way to defame theology, although in reality they only reveal their state of mind. Nothing is really known except through the modality of the knower, a Coomaraswamy quote. I could critize this man because he sounds silly, or i could consider from where does he actually come from with this information. Unfortunately, in a convenient way, theology without science veers off from the proper path, just as science without the acknowledgment of theology becomes rendered as pseudo. The most valiant and worthy of men considers not the questions posed by theology but regards the science concerning them; just as the wise man of intelligence considers not only particularly the data of certains science and methods but seeks to acknowledge how such emergences could have arisened and how they align with the stars and all things. Theology is this. Life is a school. We the children of God do learn at different paces. Some are consice, others precise, and then there's the peeudo. Even those who are not black belt in Theology are far more concise concerning the Ultimate than those whom are pseudo(nihilists/materialist) concerning truth. You see persons in the comments here take delight, entirely of delectation, mocking this man, yet are incapabale of seeing themselves, whom are even more silly. "Life after Death" Physical Death is nothing to be so feared about because it only affects your temporary physical body but NOT your immortal soul which is your true being that remains intact and survives forever... ... and the reason why your spiritual existence is eternal because your soul is a free split of the Holy Spirit who has no beginning and no end... ... what you should be concerned about is your soul's eternal fate that solely relies on what you had freely chosen to believe, or not believe, regarding the existence of a loving Creator or GOD, before your physical death... .. your temporary physical body plays an important role as a shield to your past spiritual life so that you can freely chose to believe without knowing God.. ..again, we fell from Heaven because we lost faith in God's love, so, only by ragaining this faith that our souls can return Home... .. if you had chosen to believe in a loving God to live a life with God's grace, regardless whether you are a Muslim, Christian, Jewish, etc., then Heaven is where your immortal soul belongs to live genuinely happy ever after... ..but if you had chosen to believe in Darwin's IGUANA as your Original Mama, ie., had chosen a life without God's grace, then your wish is your command.... your soul will end up in a cold dark empty state (hell) - an absence of God's blessings.... Why didn’t Sh Hamza mention that the Ash’arite school of theology (which he’s supposedly apart of) is mostly physicalist and that we are not advocates of the substance dualisms of Platonists and Imam Al-Ghazali RA which he advocated on behalf of in this video? The late school and the majority are overwhelmingly atomists and physicalists. To push what he said off as being representative of ‘Islamic theology’ in itself is deceitful at worst, and ignorant at best. It’s representative of a minority of scholars, and the Akbari/Sufi followers of Ibn Arabi RA but not the whole tradition. The soul is still what we would call a ‘jism’ or something composed of parts/particles despite it not being seen normally which would mean that it’s still what one would call physical. It is something known of through scripture and the Qur’an as he says himself says that we cannot know of its nature through reason hence there is valid disagreement on this matter. I am born a Muslim and live in Iraq. I know all religions including Islam have truth in them, but Islam does not sit well with my heart and conscience. How is it that two intellectuals discuss the claims made by Hamza Yusuf without one of them posing the single most important question in a dialogue, asked by Greek philosophers, thousands of years ago, whose dialectical approach to questioning laid the foundations of science as we know it today.
