Hana Chang dominates everything she plays. In every way possible. This might be the best, most carefree and naturally pure I’ve heard any contestant or professional play this polonaise. I have taught 50+ students for 38 yrs including this piece. Bravo!

The performance of Polonaise brillante nr 2 proved her level is already beyond a professional. Absolutely beautiful staccato, vibrato, techniques, phrasing everything.

She is the best I've seen. The jury was right in choosing her among the last 6. I hope she will be the winner of this competition.

Who cares. At the end of the day, she got to share the stage with great musicians like Janine Jansen and Amihai Grosz January this year. All the others can only be jealous of her ❤

Jewish first name, Chinese second name, from Japan, playing in completion named after a Pole, in Germany on an Italian violin and tutored by a Scandinavian in Switzerland. Wow!

Not important, but “Hana” is actually a very common name for East Asian (Japanese, Korean, Chinese), didn’t know it was also a Jewish name. 🙂

Bravissimo🥰😍😀 Rares sont les violonistes capable d'adapter leur vibrato en fonction de l' oeuvre et de l'harmonie. Sens très subtile du tempo, servi par une maîtrise sans faille.

So straight from the heart, love it! I played the Chaconne myself in my musical career before it ended due to medical issues, so I'm quite critical of the piece ;-) But Hana plays it so beautifully! I have small hands too, so the D-F-D interval was a problem for me as well. It's the only difficult point in the Chaconne for those with small hands,...

If only she had some great sounding instrument! She makes absolutely the best out of this "chamber sounding" Guadagnini. After four days of listening she is still my favorite. Incredibly soulful Chaconne.. the best so far! I hope she wins the whole thing.
@musicclassic5938
@musicclassic5938 Год назад
Chaconne is not meant to be soulful; it is to be spiritual and baroque, which it wasn't.
@piotrmarkiewicz2005
@piotrmarkiewicz2005 Год назад
@@musicclassic5938.. perhaps I have used "soulful" wrongly to describe that it "touched my soul". In this context it was spiritual to me. As for the "baroque"..what does that mean?

Moze troche popracowac nad roznorodnoscia wibracji i bedzie niebo.

To play Chaccone for just 12 minutes is insanity - Victoria Mullova and other great baroque violinists usually take 13:40 to play it.
