she still has her original teeth, bonding isn't like veneers where you have to compromise your original tooth shape for cosmetics. bonding doesn't last forever and her teeth will look like they originally did in about 3-5 years if she doesn't get the procedure redone
What if I have Bruxism and have a night guard how would I get composite bonding done? Would it be worth the cost? Would I have to get a new night guard? And are they more likely to chip?
With composite bonding, we would be altering the shape of your teeth so your old night guard would no longer fit. So yes, you would need a new night guard to fit you. Composite Bonding isn’t as strong as your natural teeth. However they are still very durable, with your night guard and avoiding biting your nails or opening packaging with your teeth you shouldn’t have any issues with chipping.
@@babyblue7911 the patient definitely always had nice teeth, but she wanted to make some changes and was very happy with the final results 😊 it’s all down to personal preference
Is composite bonding good for cavities in a front tooth? I also have a very gaps at the bottom of my teeth where the enamel has broken away from poor dental care... Would composite work for that?
Make sure the composite bonding is of good grade ,many conposites contain Bpa ,which is dangerous to human health ,make sure the dentist tells you the conposition of what he put in your mouth ,some dentists can be quite scummy and screw over people on purpose
@@gabrielsiberianrifleman7358 oh no, sorry to hear you weren’t happy with how your dentist did your composite bonding! 😖 we are specialists in this treatment, so please come in to see us 😊
@@bonddentallondon7514 haha,no,if you offer to remove them for a good price and help me get golden fillings then maybe ,but i am not putting the same material in my mouth ever again
Just a heads up. Composites stain very easily. Just keep that in mind when drinking tea, coffee, or red wine. (I have them, so I’m speaking from experience) Other than that, no regrets.
How much time will all of it last? like if im carefull with my hygiene, dont smoke etc, could it last for like 5 years and after those 5 years a renewing,or it will deteriorate even faster, I'm sorry if i m not very explicit but how long will composites resist?
@@ionel6019 Well, it depends on who did the work too. My first set I had when I was 12, they lasted until I was 32. (Curse of the English teeth) But they were looking rough at that point, chipping, staining) The old dentist built them up thicker to last us through school etc. I got them redone about 9 years ago, and I can tell these were done thinner (look more realistic) so I need to replace them about now, but they don’t look too bad. Minor staining. Just haven’t had the extra money to do so. Keep in mind, I don’t use my front teeth to say bite and apple, but I eat pizza and burgers no problem Hope that helps some.
You usually get the first 6 or even 8 anything after that would just be a filling go with 6 first also after 5 to 9 years you will have to replace them with porcelain veneers by chance
It's only a good idea if your having it put over your hole teeth like she did you need the right tooth structure for it to hold never get it for chipped tooth or broken nor to just change the side it will not last and a dentist who knows and cares will tell you exactly that some will actually refuse this because they think it's bad choice!!
It is essentially done in two visits. One visit will be a consultation, doing all of the necessary examinations to see if you are a suitable candidate for the treatment. Then the next visit will be the treatment itself in which you leave with your final smile. In some cases we book another appointment to make some minor tweaks or changes if you need. Prices start from £195 per tooth.
Perhaps if your bite isn't in the correct position they meant the composite can chip very easily? as this can be the case for edge to edge or crooked teeth. we recommend doing Invisalign first to correct the bite and then having composite bonding which should then last years with no issues. :)
This is supposed to be permanent but with composite bonding they can pop of sometimes so you need to get them redone in 8-10 years, as opposed to veneers which are permanent (but really bad for your teeth)
@@bigol7169 yes because your shaving down your teeth to allow them to form around the tooth, this leads the teeth to be extremely sensitive and stops you from eating various foods.
@@charlotte2048 hello! Yes, as soon as we finished the composite bonding we used our 3D itero scanner to scan Hana’s teeth and then created retainers to keep her teeth in alignment ☺️
@@bonddentallondon7514 i have done my three teeth done with capping but it was painful maybe that time he didnt gave me proper treatment so that i wont feel pain
The good news is your original teeth look better and that composite bonding was basically created yesterday in the 60s so you can forget about it ever holding up. It’ll be gone in 4-10 years. 10-20 years it will brown too.
The patient wasn’t happy with the appearance of their teeth before and while we agree she has always had a beautiful smile, she achieved her desired outcome and was very happy. That is all that matters. The whole reason we chose to do composite bonding was because it isn’t permanent and it doesn’t affect her teeth at all. She can always go back to her natural smile whenever she chooses. With correct care, it won’t ‘brown.’
Avoid habits such as chewing pen lids, biting nails. Anything that can risk chipping the composite. They require normal upkeep, just like the rest of your teeth. Regular brushing and flossing. 😊
