I don't think American Congress will ever allowed this. They will trash it, called destructive, pulled her out of Congress. I am so proud of her power, courage , and protecting her native tribes. ❤️ . Impressed.
Well, American Indians have a different culture to the Maori. The reason for NZ having it so different is the extent the Maori have been involved in the founding of the nation unlike in the case of the U.S.A over its long history.
I am an American and as a father of a daughter who is part Cherokee, watching and listening to this strong and powerful young woman who is the same age as my daughter it brings me hope in this world. I wish her gods speed as she fights for her people and for her culture. ❤
Me from south part of india, i dont understand single words from her, but her vibration and patriotism towards her people, which i never felt in my 40 years of life... Go girl Go..
For your information I am Marathi guy, I know about this and the girl is Māori and Māoris are the whole soul Native New Zealanders i.e. Aoteāroān. The Racist English are outsiders looters invaders just like they stepped in India they did the same in Aoteāroā. Aoteāroā is the aboriginal country name for New Zealand. The Girl Performed the Haka which is a traditional War Dance performed to infuriate fear in the eyes of enemies but nowadays performed to show respect dignity on occasions like Funeral, Marriage, Ceremonies, Rugby Matches etc
As Malay Singaporean, I'm so proud of you. Not only are we related by way of blood and language, we are also bonded by the fact that both of our peoples have become a minority in our own homelands.
This is so emotional. I've never cried over any politicians but for you Lady, I shed tears. May you be blessed and bring laurels, victory and praise to yout people. You must be very proud of your ancestors. I wonder hoe proud and joyful, your parents must be. Congratulations🎉🎉
Your culture survives well. It has much more ground than the Maori. Despite that, the Maori have succeeded. Many got off the bus and pushed. It's time for Irish people to sit down and actually think if they genuinely care for their history or aren't willing to get involved to preserve it like their forefathers. You have a lot less to travel compared to the Scots.
@@martefactYour right though somehow everybody on earth was invaded and forced out of their cultures all colours the people of the earth were invaded and we never wanted to harm the earth like today. Forests are sacred etc etc
I am completely overwhelmed by the sheer strength of this powerful lady. Her pride of being Haka makes me proud of being Bangali. Lots of love from Bangladesh.
"this isnt my moment this is yours. everytime u hear my voice it will echo of my anchestors. everytime u look me in the eyes u will see the children that survived. over the next 3 years u will see history rewrite itself without a pen." is a strong message for such a great conclusion, u go girl 🫡
I cried at her call. I cried at her maiden speech. Sent shivers down my spine. Kia Ora Wahine. Kia Ora. Thank you for standing up for us and I pray God opens all the doors for your journey young lady. I pray God shakes the ground for you, shakes the lives of those who oppose you, shakes the ground and awaken the spirit of all Maori people, of all New Zealanders, to come together and support your cause and promise. Kia Ora. God Bless you Hana-Rawhiti Maipi-Clarke. Step up for Prime Minister with pride. ♥
Yes I heard her in a pre election discussion with members from each party. She really spoke strongly to a very right wing man who had an appalling attitude. I was SO impressed with her. Maori women are really strong. I am a British descendant. I wasn't really brought up to stand up to men like she did. Wow.
Please be respectful. This ignorant young child is thrust among us without life experience. We must support our great nation by working hard and paying tax before we comment
As an Indian of bengali descent from eastern india , lots of love to her। Great patriotism and energy in her Haka। ❤ Always preserve your tradition and culture
nothing. It is just we people also have the culture of mantras and wry cries I mean it is not displayed in parliaments often but we relate. Cheers 🍺🍺@@williamconnell6541
I feel proud of her. And I don’t know why.Taking a stand takes courage.Especially when others may not understand things that are important to you and yours. Great Job! Keep representing the people of your community and many more. ❤️
As an European -I simply love and feel so much respect towards people who declare themselves WHO they ARE and not WHO they supposed to be. Sending love and strenght🎉❤🎉❤❤
@@tracymichaelsen493 I just can’t fathom why the natives of the pacific are being undermined and discriminated. We should protect each culture as every single one represents a part of mankind’s psyche. We in Norway love the Māori people. The haka sends me shivers down my spine every time, and I feel the spirit of life within me being one with what is being uttered. How can I relate to a cry from a people so far away from me? It’s the cry of life, that which we all are. The wild, the raw, the beautiful. Forget haters and stand proud as the originals of your land, despite life being the only original inhabitant of earth! 😂
Gosh, goosebumps all over me. Young lady you've given your people far more recognition than they've had in the last 100 years. Indeed, there's power in embracing one's culture. From Nigeria 🇳🇬 🇳🇬 🇳🇬 west Africa, we are all proud of you! Make your people proud! The world is rooting for you!
To those who waited for centuries to sing your song and speak your language. I first heard, it is authentic and utterly beautiful. I am deeply moved and in tears that i feel your struggle and pain. Thank you for putting this Young Lady on the Map.
I had to shed a tear listening to the vibrant youthful Maori lady .It’s refreshing to see that her generation is keeping up with the traditions & culture .
I salute you young lady, fromPakistan 🇵🇰 Though I couldn't comprehend a single word she utterd, however, the power of her emotions patriotism has shaken me from inside. She's a real pride to the whole new zealanders.
@@humanityissupreme.2575no one forcefully converted in Pakistan. Pakistan is a diverse country more than 80 ethnic groups are in Pakistan they are speaking there own languages they are proud and follow ancient cultures. Pakistani are proud to be a part of great Indus valley and Gandhara civilization. Pakistani are Aryans and proud of it .
I am touched by the emotions and the love of this young lady towards her heritage and culture. Lots of love and best wishes for her political future from India... 🇮🇳🙏🙏
Native Maori, you are beautiful. This young lady is beautiful. My heart swelled listening to this. Protect your language, heritage, culture, customs, language because it is the most beautiful thing in this world to hear that you still maintain the essence despite everything and all those who want and impose this world to be uniform and the same. The differences are wonderful, your language and song is something especially wonderful to hear. Stay strong as you are, big greetings from Croatia.
Wow that was a real speech. Starting up with a "warcry" - speech - then end with a harmonic song was so powerful and epic. Indigenous people reminds us of how important history, culture, heritage is and how it plays a big part of our whole existence true life.
She’s most powerful leader in the world. Very strong voice and presentation of singing and dancing of her tribe is incredible ❤ Lots of love from India 🇮🇳
Although i`m not Maori ( obviously i am white ) I cried ... May you get all you wish for and show us how to live! it`s almost not necessary but I wish you will only grow wiser ! You restored a little part of my faith in Humanity today ! big thanks from a Dutchman somewhere in europe
I just watched this as a Muslim American and I was crying with the aunty in the back, you must know that I am rooting for you just like your dad, just like all the oppressed, abused, enslaved, wronged, robbed people of the world… god bless you, I made my elder mom and aunt watch this and explained (they are from Middle East), they are all proud of you… god speed
I had goosebumps when I first came across this. I have watched it many times now just to feel that energy that flows when you watch her do that. All my respects the culture.
chills and tears each time I watch her war cry. Although, I didn't understood a single word but the power of her voice and expression takes you to battle ground. Best wishes to this inspirational young leader and New Zealand.
A beautiful inspirational moment. Thank you for sharing courage around the world! I hope this will wake up the indigenous people of South America to stop the degeneration of the culture and revive the real languages of the land. This has gone too far! Thank you!
Bro I have no idea why I watch this everyday, there's just something about the Maori culture that I love and adore so much. Listening to her speak in her native tongue is like music to my ears, I don't understand a word she's saying but I can feel her aura when she's speaking and it's very strong and powerful !

Beautiful. What a speech. And the grace shown by other parliamentarians in welcoming her with open arms. The exuberance shown by her supporters in the visitors gallery and the patience exhibited by the speaker is exemplary and worth emulating.
You mean young naive activist abusing her privileged political position to grandstand. Amazed she wasn't part of the green filth party, she fits the demographics.
U know what!! I am not at all related to her or New Zealand in which ever way..I am a normal female from a village in India. This is the power of being authentic..I don't understand single word but I can totally relate to her emotion.Thats why "Emotion" is the universal language. Never be ashamed of where you come from. BE PROUD of Your ROOTS.
So proud and so in awe. More of this. What a powerful powerful speech. Congratulations and incredibly well done. What maturity, what an incredible performance.
I did not understand anything. But Huge respect to this lady for Keeping the Culture Alive, I like the way all other supported during she was performing. Lots of of Love from an Indian. You guys are awesome.
But many Indians forgot their native language and running behind Hindi. Need to take a first step to save our mother tongue. I am not against to Hindi. Need to find our root and attach to it.
@hineataeparaima8854 The truth yeah right. Politicians are supposedly representing all people's of this country. Separatism is activism and helps no one moving forward.
@backindabay a member of the Parliament represents voters in their electoral seat who elected him/her and their political party (if they are affiliated with any), not all people of the country.
I'm actually form Philippines and I don't understand in some words she spoken but I got tears in my eye drops because she's 21 yrs old and I feel his love in the country and to the culture.
If you're native Filipino, then she is a your relative because Filipinos and Maoris are related by way of blood and language. From Malaysia to Indonesia to the Philippines to the Polynesia, we are one family.
I voted for change, but good on her for doing a solid speech and getting into politics to do something about it. Plenty of cuzzies like to complain, but not many want to back it up with action. I'm a Waikato boy and I hope Hana does well for her electorate. Mahuta came to a few of my school events and I found her to be lovely. The waiata at the end made me miss the Waikato as well. Beautiful.
I love and respect everything about this speech including the way the fellows are reacting, smiling, hugging, and singing all together at the end of the speech. I can't say I know a thing about the culture but sending my huge respect from South Korea. I believe a small monent can still convey everything. I think 15 mins have conveyed what you have fought for. We are with you.
I'm from Indonesia, hearing the very deep voice vibrations of this great young girl brought tears to my eyes. May you be successful in achieving your long future. Regards
How ABSOLUTELY wonderful. Hana-Rawhiti Kareariki Maipi-Clarke . All the good caring people on our wonderful Mother Earth NEED people like you. Love from The Isle of Axholme North Lincolnshire England. A wonderful heartfelt speech. Terry E Oliver 💚
Us Maoris know what the Irish people had endured in there history, my people had supported with what little we had at the time. It's what freedom fighters do to help the oppressed as did the Irish help us Maori through the Maori Wars they turned on the British and helped the Maori People fight for freedom..
Lady You have the Spirit of a mighty warrior! I’m a Christian prayer warrior white grandmother in the United States and that viral video of your ‘speech’ reverberated through every cell in my body! I remember seeing the warriors stand up to the police who were trying to make them take those evil shots and your speech should have sent a cold chill of warning down the backs of the government ! I prayed for your brave people that day and I’m praying again for you and your beautiful people now! May God bless you and all the citizens of your nation!
I will always save this video and share to my fellow citizens you are absolutely have the true spirit of love and protecting the culture to preservation god will always guide you I salute you Hanah rawhiti the world need like you as a good example leader!
I loved this! I don't understand many of her cultural references and I am also not familiar with Maori culture, but I keep returning to this video. So powerful, I want to learn the lyrics and perform the hymn 🫣🎈Attractive melodic language. Greetings from Albania!🇦🇱
Now this is what I call a parliament!!!! What a contrast to here in UK. Bring in a new brave world you wonderful young people, and the people who have been ruled by the old order.
Last 3 minutes were totally unexpected and truly amazing... especially the way everyone was greeting her.... feeling blessed to watch such amazing moments (also when similar things happen in my own country's parliament)..... I feel great when I see top talents and policymakers are not only respecting our roots but also trying to flourish their culture in modern day scenario around the world.....
I’m a Filipino living in Uk, after watching this young and brave woman, It reminds me of the movie “Dances with wolves by Kevin Costner” I can feel the Patriotism , Passion. And her bravery to voice out the cry of her Ancestors that have silence by time And waiting to be heard.. Salute to you future Prime minister of New Zealand 👍👍👍
It's beautiful when people embrace who they are. Instead of denying who you are, take drugs and undergo surgical mutilations to be who you want to be or who you think you are, have the courage own who you are and manifest your true self❤
