Life is like a Lego set you can build a house or car or tree or helicopter... But at the end of the day it's all still lego.. You see this platypus getting tickled shaking its leg like dog because that's how he or she is experiencing it exactly the same nature like lego take many forms but underlying thing is pretty much universal its just sometimes hard seeing past the differences in shape.. But that platypus felt exactly the same as you do when your excited and having in exactly the same way with the same biochemistry triggering the Same part of thier brains they probably experience love to like dogs and cats elephants it's all the same good to see you notice the similarities.. You should check out nature it's looks all so different but when you spend enough time watching then it becomes apparent.. Beautiful nature is.
Btw, to add to the cuteness, that's not a baby platypus, it's a full grow adult. These adorable duck-beavers are alot smaller than most people fuggin think.
It bugs me when they don't show something for size comparison in nature videos. Especially underwater videos. Some creatures you think are the size of you turn out to be 6 inches long.
@@morganwilliams5591 Angler fish can grow to over 3 feet?!?!?! I just looked it up. Yikes! I thought they were maybe the size of a children's soccer ball at most
Fun fact: Platypuses close their eyes when diving and rely on the feeling in their bill to get around which is why it moves its head very quickly from side to side
Another fun fact: It has venom, on it's not on their beak but it's actually on their foot. The venom is made in venom glands that are connected to hollow spurs on their hind legs, also the venom might be very painful but it is not deadly to humans. So yeah they are very cute :3
@@littlewing6231 If I remember correctly, only the males have that spur behind their back feet. I don't know when they grow them out though, like if they're born with them or if that's something that has to develop. Seems a little foolish for a baby to have venomous spurs behind its feet.
I had heard about and read about the only mammal to lay eggs since I was a kid, it's really cool to see some! I had no idea they were so frisky! I'm still learning something new everyday at 68 years old!!
yeah, the males have a venomous spur on their hind legs. I believe it's usually retracted, and they can sort of extend it, like a cat extends it's claws

@@intj1434 Only the males have venomous spurs and only produce the venom during mating season. However, you still should probably avoid contact to avoid disturbing them.
@Unbreakable Patches no, mammals evolved from the terapsids, and they were reptiles, because it dosent make sense since there were mammals in dinossaur times but were much smaller
@@isabellacrump103 When little girl I get to play with three of them is why I know about the spur. It hurt alot and I thought my arm was going to fall off as I was crying to my mum to stop the pain^^ Also thank you, I did not know only male have the venom. Have Great Day^^
@Creeper Freak Platypus venom (excreted only by males, even though both sexes have spurs) isn’t actually potent enough to kill an adult human. It would be excruciatingly painful, but unless OP is actually a dog or other small animal, they’d be fine after the pain wore off.
@@jesuscarlos3879 they could you just need to put them in a box full of cyan colored water. Maybe first color it in white, be sure to shake the box for the color to grab on it.
The platypus is a creature that has a ducks bill, is a mammal, lays eggs and is venomous. It's as if God said "let them figure this one out!". God certainly does seem to have a sense of humour. 😉 ❤
