Definitely one of the cooler stories. I like that the whole thing is basically two characters talking in a single room. Definitely super unique and that it doesn't try to be something massive otherworldly creature.

@@camelxravennovaA bit old but basically the twist is that his ability to see future killers was real the whole time as when he grabbed her he saw what she would become and she admitted it to him subtly

@@camelxravennova essentially, the murderer he killed was the father of that girl. So he saw the father murdering his daughter without context. It's likely the father had the same power as the man and saw that the woman would grow up to be a murderer. So he unleashed a murderer on the world trying to be the good guy.

I'm assuming that she was a serial killer and when he grabbed her hand he saw all of the people she was going to kill in the future, maybe her dad was going to kill her after finding out about the people she had killed (idk if it was before or after her dad died but she definitely killed her mom at some point)

I don't think so, I think it's a case of unreliable narrator at the end. After all, why would the protagonist then say "I'm doing God's work?" Unless she TOO was some foresight killer, I think what happened was not only could Jebediah could see the future, but he could switch bodies. As such, the moment he grabbed the protagonist's wrist, he switched bodies and now, he'll be able to kill how he pleased while the innocent gets likely the death penalty for HIS actions. After all, the protagonist said now with the father gone, they're alone. No witnesses, of course, and a fresh slate at life.

I feel something important to keep in mind is writing because you enjoy it. Shooting for likes with stories isn't always the best way to go about it, because if you become dependant on those likes, it'll be the only way you will feel motivated to write. I love seeing other people getting into writing because it's such an amazing form of artistic expression. I just wanna help spread awareness of writing because you enjoy it since I've seen a lot of great writers burn out really quickly due to them not getting many upvotes. Regardless, I'm glad your making your own stories.

There was no foreshadowing and no real indication since we were supposedly in her head while she showed fear and remorse, so it was inadvertently confusing. There'd be no reason for her to fake it, but I guess it was to throw "us" off

@ Cliché aside, I think it would've been fine if we didn't have access to her thoughts. The twist would've just worked better if we were only assuming her intent, but a majority of these stories are told from the first person perspective so guessing the writer ran into a dilemma

Poor poor fool. Sometimes good people kill to protect themselves or others. so without finding out the whys. He became the monster he was trying to stop, and the end result prevented the death of a truely greater monster. Oops!

Very good Narration MCP. I had to listen to the end twice because I don’t under stand what will happen. 😆. He could have saved the country but he had to yeet people to do it. He couldn’t see her past crimes. But the ones she was going to. I also thought the girl was a boy until the end of the story! 😝 . He usually does his female voice when he does girl characters! Good story though.

The way I see it, the daughter is a serial killer who has killed and/or plans to kill people. Her father realized this and was going to kill her eventually to stop her, but Jedediah sensed her father's intent and killed him first, not realizing he had saved a monster.

Was the daughter evil all along or did the 'God Hand' transfer from her to him? Or did she have the 'God Hand' all along and went to the serial killer to confirm things?

was looking to see if i was the only one who is confused. ♡ the guess i had was maybe shes been evil all along and shes gonna have a daughter of her own and smother her one day. maybe thats why he thought he saw her face but really he saw her child who looks exactly like her. and by killing her father, he didnt save anyone but instead unleashed even more evil into the world. i think MAYBE when he shook her dads hand and saw the murder that he misread the situation. maybe her dad doted on her trying to get rid of her evil side but failed so he had smothered her ( or was going to as the man said) to protect other people around them that could get hurt by her. but because her dad was killed now the man let loose her evil side to continue and get worse leading her to smother her own daughter who looks just like her. but her daughter would be an innocent thats killed, not evil. i hope that all makes sense. ♡

Okay, I've never been a big fan of this concept, there's something almost cheesy about it imo. I will commend this story on providing a somewhat unique take on the idea, though. The twist at the end is executed fantastically as well!

Not sure about this one, chief. Excellent narration as always, but the twist had no foreshadowing and the tone shifted right at the end a little too hard. The closest thing I could compare it to is Frozen.

Did you understand the twist there? It kinda left me baffled. Twists are good but they can’t just come out of nowhere. Maybe I’m dumb but I don’t really see where that ending came from. Still sort of confused.

@@jamesbernedo3204 the man’s powers were indiscriminate. He could see the future crimes, but not who or why that person kills someone else. The daughter of the murdered father turned out herself to be dangerous and violent, and her father planned to snuff her out when she was young before it got worse. The killer touches her for just a brief moment at the end, and saw his grave mistake. It turns out, she herself was the true evil individual.

@@stonecoldslate That's not my, or James', point. We know what *happened.* The point is that the twist, the "turns out" part, doesn't make any sense with what was written up to that point. The narrator was vocally shaken, saddened, and angry at the murderer up until the last three seconds, and then all of a sudden she's evil? And she "didn't know her dad would go through with it"? It's way too stark a difference with almost zero foreshadowing, and is therefore a bad twist, ala Frozen.
