Hi Colin. Joe from Binghamton here. It was great meeting you on Sat waiting to cab tour 2102. It was way higher once up there than it looked from the ground and was just so impressive! Meeting you was a highlight of that day! What a cool team effort this video is. Everyone captured such amazing footage of you and #123 and you look so comfortable at the throttle too! Nice job!
Hi Joe! It was nice to meet you on Saturday! Glad that your tour of the 2102 went well, it sure it a big and powerful machine; and yes, this video was a major collection of footage and collaboration, and all the effort put into 123 paid off. It’s a lot of fun being at the throttle, hoping to one day do it professionally. Thanks for watching though, glad you enjoyed!
Great to see your video of his awesome day! I really enjoyed working with you on prepping and painting the Lokie as well. You did a nice job operating the Lokie too - very smooth and you sure know your way around a steam whistle! I'm looking forward to our next time out there.
Thank you Jamie! It was awesome working with you on the Lokie, it really was our first steps into maintenance working on steam and trains in general. And thanks, I think i definitely ran this trip better than the first time, hoping to be even better in November! Very much looking forward to having you ride along for that one!
@@PANortheasternRailfan I definitely did a better job on this trip too. I think because we both had experience from the first time, but also the way they worked on the throttle it was more responsive and gave more feedback.
I participated in their first event last November, so I had a bit of experience, but this was only my second time operating. They do give a detailed overview of the controls first and there is an experienced engineer that rides along to guide you as well
