The default emulated tv mode with the scan lines and the glass effects look so dark and hacky, thats absolutely not what gaming looked like in the day.
Thanks for the amazing video as always! I have a question regarding the screen configs. I want to disable bezels, glass effects and curvature / but I want to maintain the scanlines. I do not seem to be able to do this in this version. There are much less options in the "advanced configs" folder than in other versions of coin ops. Any knows and can help...? Much appreciated!!
@@woodyfentress since time is only finite why wait :) Won't be hard to frankenstien the Linux build over the top that is if the performance difference is even worth bothering with.
Great video and thanks for posting it, is there anyway of going back to main menu when playing a game other than having to reset the console? I have an Xbox original running Coinops but the layout is terrible and I am struggling to navigate the system. Any help would be appreciated. Jim

Right, I've got an issue with my copy of this. Basically, everything works perfectly with my wireless Xbox One controller except MAME which is set up as keyboard only and has no Xbox controls set up. I can set the up manually, but when I leave the front end and go back in, they've gone again! Using the restore box bat file does nothing either. It's from the official source and not AP and I can't ask for help on Discord because I've been banned from that server because I'm also a member of the CORE channel too!
So what is the trick to adding roms from other coinops versions when this version is missing so many games? Example: do I need to wait for a coinops collection pack for NES or can I add the roms from another build?
You shold be able to add games easily. Just need to figure out the folder structure. Basically find the folders where the NES roms and medium artwork are. Then copy and paste from a previous build. Didnt try it yet as i am downloading it now, but the previous builds worked this way.
Hey is there any way that I can put this directly on an internal hard drive and have it boot up as an operating system? Or does it have to run from Windows?
I still have the original CoinOps for PC on an old external drive, and have almost every classic xonsole system working great. I never stepped up to Ops 2/Next so I am wondering if I should start over.

I got this up and running no problems whatsoever. I do have a question, Is there any way to turn off the console borders and make it full screen when playing for example Mario 64? I find the borders to be intrusive to the gaming experience all though a nice touch it really does get in the way. Appreciate any help you can offer.

I may just look around and research til I land on another build that doesn't doesn't have them. Again, I appreciate the reply.
i got a prebuilded coinops gold+ and the collection of arcades in that is insane !!! but since i want to completely get rid of launchbox!, does anyone know and can help me on how i can add my ps1 , ps2 , sega , genesis etc. games on the , coinops gold+ build with videos,marques,bezels,logos and everything and categorise them as well ???? im new to emulation so any help would be awsome , thx in advance !!

I so want this to work. CoinOPS Arcades, Legends, etc all work, but this one, just gives me a blank screen after the CoinOPS logo splash screen. In the lower right, there is the '|' pipe symbol that would usually say '2|25' if there were 25 games in the category. I have tried all the trouble-shooting stuff, but no dice. Anyone else having this issue?
Yeah that happens to me when i double click on the star symbol collection app i dont know what that that is, the control pad symbol collection starts up just fine 👌🏻
It's faster and updated everywhere. I think this will be the last release of this magnitude from coinops for a long time, albeit with updates added periodically, and official/unofficial packs. I would recommend the upgrade to anyone
