On textures where Pio likes 2/3 I like to bet 80% pot, and check more of my weak top pairs than Pio does. Exploitably larger to build a big pot with a polarised range, and checking a lot because players like to stab often for about 45% pot when checked to(in my 1-3 live game). I’m fairly unbalanced with too much air in my betting range, but(unless they are a pro) humans aren’t comfortable facing large bets and they will overfold. Check/raise flop with air and big draws also works well! Using this strategy in nitty European player pools.
Paal, as long as you are exploiting known leaks in the player pool than it sounds great to me. I would play around with other sizes in pio though and see if you can find even bigger exploits. Always make sure to use tools like Hand2Note/PT4/HM3 to compare your actual results to pio to make sure you are actually exploiting. Best of luck!
@@WowPoker I don't have Pio, but I have a fairly good knowledge about it thanks to channels like yours. As a live player, would any of the softwares you mentioned be of any use to me? Thanks for the reply and the advice.
@@paalsandmo9728 I recommend looking into Cardrunners EV and GTO+. It is a relatively cheap package but gives you a decent GTO solver as well as a lot of tools for working on exploitative play. As far as the Hand2Note etc that I mentioned before, you wouldn't be able to use those for live play unfortunately.
@@WowPoker I got Pokersnowie. I know it's not amazing, but as far as I'm aware it's the only option except from Pio where I can put in a hand history. Can't do this with GTO+ I think?
It has been around for a long time so don't know the exact origin. But, it was made really popular by guys like Nick Howard with is PIO Unlocked video series and his videos on Run It Once. Also, studying in PIO, there are a lot of spots where that size is used.
Kar Yung Tom Only if in position in single raised pots. Out of position he advocated a 100% check in single raised pots. In three bet pots it was a really high cbet frequency but not 100% when out of position.
