Just found this by chance, great video on hand speed and use of the tools, the Wiffle bat is a must to one's workout to help out w/your bat speed I've been doing that for the last 10+ years, including a Chute with a weight on the game or a softball wood bat 3 set x 10 rep each on my off days mostly two days before a game. Thanks for doing this video.
My sons 10u travel team recently started training with a Garmin bat sensor. His bat speed was 3rd on the team at 103 kph. Top was 105 kph. But his hand speed was top at 41 kph. Second was 35 kph. Why do you think his hand speed is 20% faster, but his bat speed isn't?
This is just superb, I've been looking for "youth baseball hitting drills" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Ever heard of - Penonnor Baseball Babaco - (just google it ) ? Ive heard some interesting things about it and my brother in law got cool results with it.
