Wow, what a great pleasure to have watched you work! You're craftsmanship and choice of colors were ideal for capturing the natural beauty of the wood. It would have been a shame to give it a solid color Pai job, I love the attention to detail. Using that same color from the scratch plate on the volume and tone knobs was a beautiful choice. I've never seen a Strat put built from a block of wood like that. Such a nice video of all the steps it takes to get to a finished guitar, and it plays beautifully as well. I really enjoyed it, and I admire the tools and your knowledge of using them. I bout a Strat Squier Affinity SSS and I'm a bit unhappy that I had to choose between black and quick silver unless I wanted to wait for them to order something different. I've always liked a sunburst and had a beautiful red and black sunburst with a matching scratch plate yrs ago, the silver with a white scratch plate, everyone likes it but I'd like something different. I'll probably change the scratch plate to something with some character, and upgrade the pick-ups while I'm at it but, having said that, it's a good guitar and the best I could afford. I'm getting back on playing after around 10 yrs without playing much outside of the occasional acoustic. I'm in a nursing home with Emphasema (I quit smoking and feel very blessed and content, I also had a back surgery so I play from my hospital bed after having someone remove the bedrail I can get fairly comfortable but I plan to be able to move to a chair to play in the future) I don't want pity, on the contrary. All my needs are met and my pain ,which was once constant is now well managed. I'm starting to get back where I once was, and after that the sky's the limit! I'll have all the time I need to get better and better. I'm enjoying youtube backing tracks to improvise over, and I have a Fender Mustang Lt25 modeling amp that is quite something. 30 preset effects, tuner, metronome and the effects are all adjustable with reverb and echo, gain and volume. You can get a cranked up sound at a low master volume that way. I also had a choice between an HSS and an SSS, I chose 3 single coils and I'm always happy to see someone else playing one too. No buyers remorse lol. I liked your playing, what little I heard of it, and I just love the instrument, guitars are so cool right? It's funny in life how by the time you're interested in doing something, the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak. An expression my mom used often. So right now I want to play, but I may wait until tomorrow because they changed my mattress today, and in the process it kinda' tired me physically. I may get a second wind though, I've always been drawn to the guitar and the expression was meant to express how I'd love to do even minor modifications on my Squier but alas, I'm in a nursing home and believe me I'm blessed to be here. For yrs while my health was declining I knew I needed help taking care of myself and my insurance wouldn't cover assisted living or nursing homes, but then a Dr mentioned Hospice care and I qualified, a blessing from God I believe. I'm so much better off than 99% of the worlds population, plus I even get an allowance of $130.00 a month, I'm pain free for the first time in years, and I have a guitar, amp, and time. Time to have watched your beautiful video of your truly excellent craftsmanship, I thank you. As someone who's always loved the way guitars look! All the beautiful and varied approaches to the aesthetics, I loved watching you build something one of a kind, and then put it on display in the original block of wood. So cool man! Thank you for sharing that with me, and God bless you and give you peace in your life, and in you're work. I hope you now have fun playing the guitar that you built, and with a healthy sense of pride! I wondered one thing. Were you nervous at all when you signed it, or could you have remedied it had there been a problem? I gave you a big thumbs up, and I really felt strongly about commenting, just to let you know that all my yrs playing, or watching and I've never seen one built. It'll stick with me forever! Nice job man!🙏🎸☮️✌️

Guitar can be a beauty. It was a proof. On the other hand I am moved almost same seeing e.g Eric Bell's Strat, seriously worn after all these years, but he still plays the same one, which he used in Lizzy. Musicians give life to their guitars ain't they? I hope that this one, just born, will live good life in some skilled hands.

@@BaradaGuitars Greetings! I had a custom Stratocaster built about ten or fifteen years ago and had requested a ONE PIECE solid mahogany body, but instead, I got a two piece mahogany body, because another customer decided that they wanted a Telecaster instead, and I got a discounted slightly used custom Stratocaster instead of the one I had originally ordered. The two features that I did get that I wanted in the guitar I originally ordered, was a left hand synchronized tremolo system and also a mahogany neck. Someday, I would like to build a Stratocaster with a ONE PIECE mahogany body and a mahogany neck, with the left hand synchronized tremolo system and a split coiled humbucker pickup in the bridge position, and classic single coil pickups in the middle and neck positions. I have had a lot of damage done to my right arm during a snowboarding accident twenty-five (25) years ago, so actually building the guitar by hand as you have would be extremely difficult and painful, but I have a surgery scheduled later on this month of December 2020, to have an artificial joint installed on the wrist end of my Ulna which should improve my range of motion and reduce some of the pain I currently experience in the arm, if it is successful. I wish that I could build a guitar like you have in the video, years ago I am sure it would not have been too difficult of a project for me to accomplish, I would be very pleased to be able to play guitar soon after the upcoming surgery, but I will have to wait and see. Thank you again for posting this video! I am sure it is an inspiration to many other guitar players. Please have an excellent and awesome day! 🙂

That looks very good. I notice something interesting with your tools: you use the most expensive and best jigsaw on the market (but you don't need a bandsaw that way), but your router is a very cheap one. I guess that it is good enough for what you need it.
@BaradaGuitars
@BaradaGuitars 3 года назад
The jigsaw is not mine that's why it's in other place. It's really not just about the tools, tools make the work easy, but if you're loving what you're doing, you can do it and find away to fix and do things with very cheap tools. My first rule is ''Don't rush it'' double check everything and go slowly will help a lot even with the cheapest router on the market.

Wow…..if I could ever afford it…..I would love to have a Strat built with Gibson scale length, maple top, mahogany etc. But with a bolt on neck.

If it had Fender written on it you’d be parting with a high four figures to own that.

@@BaradaGuitars that is really a beautiful instrument, you are a true artist. question, how much cost to you to build that guitar? and how it stands against popular brand guitars of the same cost?

Hi, would it be possible for you to kindly list the name of the cutting machines you have used during this great project? Thank you so much

I really don't know the name of all the machines, but anyway I didn't use a lot of machines in this build, it was all about handcrafting. I will try to do that soon Thanks for watching

This is very good work with very good attention to detail. I've built 3 guitars myself and I know this is not very easy to do but the payoff is really huge. At first I couldn't tell where you were going with the stain until you pulled out the pick guard and then it made sense. Everything you used was top notch products and this guitar is nicely built with no mistakes. Not even any small tear out which is hard to do on the curves. The only thing I might have done differently would be to make the arm angle cut and belly cut a bit deeper, but that is my own personal preference and not necessary. Again great job.

Many thanks for your time and for writing this nice comment! I agree 100% that making belly and arm angel is way more nicer when they're bit deeper. I did that in the next build. I filmed it and working on the editing right now. Big thanks!
