This piece is part of a collection of 'XII Fantasie a Cembalo solo'. It seems that only the first one can be attributed to Handel with certainty. The other eleven could be by Handel but most are, apparently, more likely to be from the hand of other contemporaries.
I do believe that, as a set, they are indeed for harpsichord (or spinet) as the title suggests, simply because of the writing. Nevertheless, the clavichord offers other possibilities. I have selected some of them to experiment. Here is number 2.
