Hi, I think it would be interesting if you could give advice to people who are in the earlier stages of their education. I am a bachelor student from Denmark and wants to go to a good business school for a master in management. Advice from you two about choosing schools and getting in would be very interesting. I have spent much time on learning languages, and want to know how much weight being fluent in 5 languages carries with business schools compared to other extra curriculars. I enjoy watching your odds videos and look forward to more. What I find interesting about them, is to see how you value the relative importance of the different qualifications of the candidate. Kind regards, Peter Lyng
I am a 27 year old white male who is finishing up an engineering Phd at one of the nations top engineering schools (Cal B, CMU, MIT) and I am think about applying to B school after I am done in order to enter into consulting. I have also been a professional touring rock drummer for the past 10 years with some of the nations largest acts. My undergrad was in Physics from a recognizable national university (NYU, UCLA, Emory), however I had a low GPA of 3.3. This is because while in undergrad I was only focused on doing research in order to get into a Phd program and not so much on my grades. My graduate gpa is a 3.8. My question is not so much about handicapping my odds but wanting to know how b schools treat a phd vs work experience and what schools are the most STEM friendly.
