This video is about Handlebar Risers Review on my 2017 BMW R1200GS Adventure. Have you ever wondered how handlebar risers would effect you ride quality and comfort.
Thanks for this, very helpful, I am just under 5-11, just a bit too lean forwards, om a long run on my R 1200 GSA I fitted risers on to my old FJR 1300, that made a big comfort improvement as well.
I am -6' I'm going to try the 1" risers for standing while riding my BMW GS. I feel a little hunched when I stand for off road maneuvering. Plus I'm going to tip my levers down for more comfort too.
For my money, the stock bar position on the whole GS range is just too low and too much of a reach for most riders. I'm 5'11" and wasn't comfy at all with the stock bar position. I thought it would be better if I was a couple of inches taller. Well you are a couple of inches taller but had the same problem. So many guys I know who own a GS have risers on there.
The motorcycle reacting quicker has nothing to do with the bike geometry, more so with your arms angle, 90 degrees make it easier to push the handlebars
You’re correct. Changing the geometry of the bike changes the amount of input/pressure required to make the bike react. I just chose to word it in a manor that most riders would recognize and/or relate to. It seems few riders care about the technicalities of how it works and more about what the results of a certain change will produce. Thanks for your comment. Ride with a smile!
