The next step, of course, is to do one of the styles I've demonstrated in other videos.
Probably this one today : • Twists for April hairs...

My hair is nearly waist length . . . and I have a catten - less than a year old, but fully grown & fat kitten-cat who plays with my hair I don't watch out! Your cats are very well behaved with your hair - did you have to train them? 😸

I think they know it's my tail, and that you don't attack mama-cat's tail without her getting annoyed with you. They are also very much older than your catten, and so not really prone to attacking much out of the blue these days.

Have you watched this video yet? ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-vPUnBy9Ntus.html I think It's pretty clear about my hair routine. If you still have questions, I'd be happy to answer! Just a note, though I don't think it's my shampoo and conditioner that make my hair thick or long. Thickness and length is more determined by genetic predisposition than washing method, I think.

yeah i watched the suggested video later.i wanted to know whether you follow any haircare routine like applying hair masks or deep conditioning.because maintaining such long and thick must be a herculean task.i must say u make it look so easy. p.s. ur cat is very cute .very intuitive.take care.

The video I linked above described my full hair routine 1.5 years ago. It has changed ever so slightly now, which I'll detail below, but I really was describing it in as much detail as possible. No secret treatments! Since I moved to a very dry climate 6 months ago, I started sometimes doing a deep conditioning treatment (by sometimes, I mean I've done this 3 times in the past 6 months). I microwave ~1tbsp honey (to remove its bleaching properties) for about 30 seconds and mix it with a little (3-4 pumps of the bottle) of argan oil and lots of Suave cone-free conditioner. I leave that soaking in for 30 minutes or so and then rinse it out really well. 2 out of the 3 times I've tried it, I've seen nice results. Even with the 3 instances of deep conditioning I've done in the past 6 months, I'd never describe my hair routine as a "herculean task." I'm far too busy with the rest of my life to spend a ton of time on my hair every day.

Hi, I've watched the wash routine video and I wanted to ask if you wash your hair upside down or just sitting. When I wash my hair upside down I get massive tangles and when I wash it while sitting I can't really clean well on top of my scalp because of the length pulling down the hair...

I don't wash my hair upside down. I think I tried that once and, like you, ended up with crazy tangles. I wash my scalp first while standing in the shower. I spend time getting my fingers and nails down to my scalp to distribute the shampoo and then help rinse it out because, as you noted, the wet length pulls down the hair. Then I'll usually sit to deal with the length in my handy aluminum bowl to help distribute the conditioner. Conditioner doesn't go above the base of my neck. Does that make sense?

It does! Thank you, I'll try this at the next wash and hope it works ♥

Isnt having wet hair for this many hours damaging?

How so? Damp hair is prone to stretching and breakage, so for me I find it better to let it dry gently and slowly instead of forcibly detangling it or using heat on it. Heat is damaging enough that it's generally avoided by people who want to grow their hair to extra-long lengths.
