Twelve enthusiasts gathered around the Viking Equipped Cooking Island in the Epicurean Theatre to prepare three dishes inspired by Thai Gourmet Market. With Petta Brown as their fearless leader, participants gained an exclusive insight and better understanding of the unique ingredients that go into Thai food. This interactive experience offered an intimate opportunity to learn through engagement. Our new culinary experts would agree that dishes are enjoyed the most knowing that you took part in the creation; and a little wine pairing doesn’t hurt either!
Originally from Thailand, Petta Brown was brought up in the northeast United States. She combines the very best of attributes of Asian cooking with a specialization in Thai food, and the fusion of European and American cuisine. She is self-taught and has owned and operated a number of restaurants here in Florida. Petta strongly believes in “real’, natural food, with an emphasis on no MSG, additives, or preservatives in any of her cooking. Healthy and tasty eating is her primary objective. Petta owns and operates Thai Gourmet Market in Tampa, and also has her own specialist gourmet brand of Secret Gourmet Thai Sauces.
