I recently discovered an app called Relive. I quickly learned to love it for its ease of use and its ability to create a three-dimensional animated map of any walk, hike, or scooter trip I went on.
But as with anything technological, using Relive meant dealing with a learning curve. I had to invest some time in learning about all the features of the app. This included not only reading all the available guides and manuals but also doing my own testing and troubleshooting.
And when I was ready, I decided to shoot a video going over what I had learned.
I divided this video mentally into three sections:
1: Speaking into the camera and discussing all of the basic features of Relive.
2: Going for a walk and giving a practical demonstration of using Relive to record an activity while taking photographs.
3: Using a smartphone screen recording app to demonstrate finalizing the activity, saving it to Relive, editing the activity, producing the 3D animated map, and sharing it on social media.
And at the very end, I play the the final video that Relive created from my short walk.
MESSAGE FROM PLANET DOUG:
Thanks for checking out this video. On Planet Doug, I am constantly learning about new technology and new gadgets. And with every new piece of technology comes an often steep learning curve. These LEARNING CURVE videos chronicle my efforts to navigate that learning curve.
Instead of all of my research and study and practice with this technology going to waste, I thought I would document my various learning curves and post the videos here for others to learn from my mistakes. I make the mistakes so you don't have to.
In making these videos, my hope is that as I learn, YOU learn.

Can you make a multi day activity into one video? Can you use your phone to do other activities, like time-lapse on native camera app, while running this app simultaneously?
