Grand Seiko can often be accused of releasing a lot of watches at once, or a lot of watches in a small time frame. This year, however, Grand Seiko is presenting nine new references - which, for them, is rather contained. I may be biased in my Grand Seiko fanboy-dom, but there are some intriguing new models to explore this year with references introducing an entirely new dial pattern, the first new hi-beat manually-wound calibre in 50 years, and the first-ever Evolution 9 case in Ever-Brilliant steel - and in a new 38.6mm size! Oh, and there’s a brand-new Kodo, too.
