Maybe the reason why there is so much movement of the headset whilst on the stand is that you have left the front panel pulled out as when you put the headset on and not returned to it’s closed position which the stand is designed for. I know this may be an oversight by the designers but surely the headset is more prone to damage when left extended. But hey what do I know. Cheers for the review 👍
Yeah that is nice. It also makes it clear if you didn't put it on the base well enough and if it's not actually charging. I made that mistake with the move controller stands
Thanks for the video. It's very helpful as I'm considering buying this. I'm a bit confused about the lighting. At the start, when no controllers were on it, the light was blue. But, later you say you can take the controllers off to turn off/down the light...doesn't seem consistent, so there is something I don't understand. Also, does the light change when the sense controllers are fully charged? I like how your headphones look good with the black/white controller scheme and stack neatly-ish on top of the headset. What brand/model are they? Do they fit nicely over the headset when playing? How is the sound quality? Maybe you need to do a separate video on your headphones.
I think maybe when you initially plug it in it shows blue, but will go away after a short time. My light definitely turns off when I don't have the controllers plugged in. So when the controllers are charging it's that orange light, and then once fully charged the light turns blue. So if fully charged and the controllers are in you'll see the blue light. Yeah that black headphone is the Pulse 3D, just a different color variation than the standard one. This one was cheaper so I went with the entire black one haha. The quality is good, biggest issue is another thing to charge. They do last a while. Sound quality is great, so if you look on ebay you can snipe one for like $60
In the beginning, the USB magnetic adapters were connected to the stand. The stand detects that something was connected, so it automatically shows blue. Once they were taken off while he was plugging the adapters into the controllers themselves, the blue light was turned off. I just got my stand today so I'm messing with it to learn these things as well. I'm realizing that if that little power adapter is connected the stand, regardless if it's on its own, or connected to the controller, there will always be a light on, on that side of that light bar. Once it's removed, the light turns off. What determines whether it's red or blue when something is connected is whether there is any current going through it to charge the controller or not depending if the controllers are charging, or if they're fully charged. That's what I've noticed.
That looks better than the Sony one. The Sony one has a far less strong magnet dongle, and no indicator light on the base to let you know that you have made connection, and nowhere for the headset! It looks like the collective minds one has a good colour match to the headset too! Nicely done!
huh, weird. Maybe the shipments are delayed since you ordered it "late". I ordered mine when they announced it. And even then didn't ship it until the 22nd
what about move the deadset near to strap (like you put it near to eyes If wearing) And hang the headphones behind it. There will be more space so maybe its possible.
The stand comes with the QR code to get the manual online, and in the manual it says before placing the headset on the stand, to be sure to extend the the front of the headset to the maximum position. That's why yours was loose.
Btw I'm sure I'm late with this comment since you posted this two weeks ago, so I'm sure you already figured that out, but I just got my stand today and just found your video today 😅
