This is clearly an ad for this challenge. The guy was probably his friend or something and pretend to be a random guy to show that this challenge is possible. In reality, it's almost impossible because the bar itself would be spinning (the vendor can lock and unlock it). All just a scam.

A climber, they seem to physically shit on everything, ninja warrior, bar hangs and large mountains while every steroid knob in the local gym lifts a static weight and then shouts woooooo, get money or stroooong.

There is a way anyone with moderate strength can beat it, put your thumbs under your hands instead of over.

i did this many times in my city back in China with exact the same technique. Not all places allow single hand switching, and some bars are much thicker than normal gym bar which you can’t even have full grip onto it. So better check out the place b4 u try. Generally, thinner bar, allow single hand switching, bar with rough surface for grip are easier to do. But any way, if you win too often, they will not allow you to play. I won about 2000 CNY and no more place in my city allow me to play.

Yeah this is definitely doable if you’re allowed to readjust your grip but 99% impossible hanging with two hands with the same grip for the whole two minutes

I did this 2 times for my wife and afterwards they didnt let me, because i told them i do mountain climbing as a hobby.... Its more of technique and endurance then strength...
