The Hangar 9 OV-10 Bronco 30cc took the market by storm as our largest giant-scale warbird to date. However, the 108-inch wingspan made storing and transporting difficult for many pilots. The OV-10 Bronco 20cc is a scaled-down version with an 84-inch wingspan that still offers a giant-scale experience but in a more practical size for everyday flying. The three-piece wing makes it possible to remove just the outer panels to transport the center section, including the fuselage, booms, and stabilizer, with the landing gear extended or retracted. Additionally, you can remove a few more screws to transport and store each section separately. The smaller size also makes it compatible with more affordable and popular 20cc engines and 6S electric power systems. Like the larger model, this version also features lightweight but strong and long-lasting built-up wood construction. The factory-applied UltraCote film covering and matching painted parts replicate the finish found on the OV-10 aircraft flown by CAL FIRE. The included decals allow you to personalize your model by applying your chosen nose, N-number, and city name. Various details, including a pitot tube, antennas, cockpit details, a pilot figure, and more, add to the scale finish. Plus, the included electric retractable landing gear set with shock-absorbing and trailing-link struts enhances the scale experience. And it all adds up to deliver a unique and versatile scale model that’s a great choice for more experienced pilots! This is my new baby! I just bought the Carbon Cub 15cc and then saw this and has to buy one because the CalFire livery is gorgeous! I was going to buy the Cub Crafters cub too but now i have to wait atlease a month so the wife doesnt abuse me and the dog again making us sleep in a tent in the backyard which was kinda fun to be honest. My dog chased squirrels and i drank beers in peace. 😂
I've wanted an OV-10 in CalFire livery ever since I saw one screaming through the hills while driving up to Idyllwild one day. Those guys are crazy and awesome and I want this so bad I can taste it.
Another great performing and unique looking aircraft from Horizon. I'd love to add a twin to my RC collection. Also, it would be great to see a re released GP Revolver, maybe a 20 or 30cc airframe. I believe this series was a big seller. I'd love to see an updated release please HH. Since you guys brought them out maybe you could make it happen?
Yessssss ! Thanks H9 ! finally! Well done!! Wood! not too small and not too big. Now I saw the price. Ouch! A bit high! I would have thought that the difference to the 30cc would be bigger. But the retractable landing gear is part of it.
@@HorizonHobbyProducts I regret selling mine so bad! This plane was designed so well. There isn't even much to improve, I can only think of adding plastic trim around the hatch
SWS = Sport Wood Series...this is a SCALE model, not a SPORT model. It's also Hangar 9 brand and not E-flite brand (and the SWS series models will only be from E-flite). So although there is no way it can be an "SWS" model, it would be possible to offer it as a BNF Basic version model. That said, we're not sure the market is ready to pay $2700-$3000 for a BNF Basic model in this size/class...at least not yet ;)
I love it. Really like the more civilian scheme and the size truly is a perfect sweet spot for a good electric setup, which is what these should have in them. Small 2-strokes sound terrible in twin config.
??? We've released many new Hangar 9 airplanes over the last few years alone including the MB-339 ( ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-skYAuWl8LGg.htmlsi=CeYxeN5i191ZNkOZ and ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-TpUHE9cP1Qg.htmlsi=aXoHCAzNT5RBY0Nl ), the Brave 20cc ( ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-PrrH8ayQw64.htmlsi=LtoGibUnHqVxseJf ), the Fun Scale PT-19 (ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-kytn7cblZSc.htmlsi=2gSf0lrPXQ81dQx4 ) and more too!
Are you discontinuing the 30cc version? The civilian scheme does nothing for me. I do like that it’s an OV-10A though. I just wish it was based on one from VAL-4 Black Ponies squadron with various armaments. They are far and away the OV-10 squadron with the most interesting history, the only one in the US Navy and the only dedicated OV-10 attack squadron. The squadron has a page and many are still alive and I’m sure the association would be happy to supply documentation.
The 30cc isn't being discontinued, they just acknowledged that it's too big for most people to transport so they made a slightly smaller one with an emphesis on being easier to transport.
