Wow what an awesome flight Darren, Great videoing and adding in the current positions with heights so we could see where you were in relation to the lead pack and keep us all glued when you took the lead, it was exciting stuff,Love it!.
Thanks Pete - it's quite a bit more editing, but I think it makes it a lot more informative for the viewer and easier to follow along. So worth it. I'm really glad you enjoyed it!
Hi Darren, I've been looking forward to this one! One of the most spectacular flights I've had, but of course, no camera that day (!) Needless to say I was waaay behind you and ran out of day, but did get to experience the Sierra Ferrera. Amazing stuff.
You always get the best flights when you have no camera John! The only other time I went to the Ferrero Roche I ran out of day too and ended up flying the length of it then landing at the start. I'm glad you got to experience it though, it really is awesome!
Thanks! I was really pleased with it, although I think maybe I could have done even better if I'd been less conservative at the end. Though landing early is a dreaded thing...
Darren, being injured and not flying comps for 2 years now, you are my line into the stoke of this amazing sport. Can't thank you enough, taking us along your flights. Alway's looking forward for your new posts. And I think you are the only one doing this as thoroughly as this. Much love.
Awesome conditions and great flight. Good story with the appropriate map interludes to show where you were at different stages in the race. It was hard to understand what you were saying at times due to the wind. Thanks for posting.
Yes I get that about the sound - I have tried having the mic at my face, but it's a pain to wire up. In my last video (the one before this one) I actually went through it and put subtitles on. Did you see that? It's a real pain to do - but did you see and do you think it is worth it?
@justinf1343 sometimes there is very rough and turbulent air, especially in this location. You can see if it's really rough when I am getting thrown around a lot. On this particular flight it wasn't especially rough really. Also how turbulent it feels depends on your experience and what you are used to.
