I’m in LOVE with the way my DIY wall mural panels turned out! Easiest and most rewarding DIY ever 🥰 y’all let me know what you think and if you’d like to DIY a Mural in your home!
WOW Ashley, the Vintage wall paper plus funky chair and candle sticks are very interesting and unique! They are perfect for spicing up a traditional or transitional space. I'm already looking at possibilities for my dining room. Thank you.
this is wonderful! Such a huge impact it has created. I really want to try this in my home. Can you tell me how you finished the edges of the MDF or did you leave them raw and unpainted?
Thank you so much. This is exactly what I have been looking for for my large dining room wall. Great idea instead of wallpapering the whole room . I love it and I am so excited to do this project!
Amazing transformation it looks stunning I really want to try this and the fact that you can move it around your home and enjoy in different spaces is genius 👍🤩
Thank you!! I actually added a cotton ribbon trim to the edges, I should have added that step to the video and completely forgot! But it finished the panels off nicely and was super easy to do. I bought 1/2” cotton ribbon in a dark gray and it looks great with the mural!
@@ashleychilders Question: Did you go completely around all the edges of each panel with the ribbon or did you just place ribbon on edges that show on the sides and top and bottom?
@@jajdesign well I forgot to do it before we hung them, so I just did the outside edges 😆 but I bought extra ribbon so if I move them I can add it to the inside edges too!
I’m in the process of completing this mural and would have ordered 1” extra on all sides and wrapped the edges. I’m ordering some extra canvas and plan to try and match and cover the sides w/ canvas paper. Also, I would have upgraded to the art brushed option. Otherwise, I followed Ashely’s excellent step-by-step directions and its gorgeous!!! BTW, Home Depot cut my panels and support boards on their bench saw so I was able to complete this without a trim carpenter, but will need help mounting them. Such a fun DIY - thank you!
I'm absolutely thrilled about this idea! I'm dying to know, how did you attach that fabulous ribbon? Did you use a hot glue gun or some other exciting technique?
I had been wanting to frame a huge wallpaper mural of a Japanese ukiyo-e print for the longest time and my boyfriend and I just finished putting up our wallpaper mural in our apartment using the methods in your tutorial :) Thank you so much! we’re so very happy and pleased with the results , it really pulls our little place together in the most beautiful way, and we wouldn’t have known where to even start without your tutorial! We’re so grateful!
Hi Ashley !!! Wall mural is beautiful !!! The mural link gives 4 options for "material". Question - which option did you choose - Traditional, Premium Canvas or Premium Art-Brush? Thank you for sharing. I love the way it turned out. I would really like to try this project.
Thank you so much, I’m in LOVE with it!! I got the “Traditional” paper option and it’s perfect. A great heavy weight paper with a beautiful matte finish!
@@ashleychilders You’re welcome, it’s beautiful! And I do appreciate seeing you actually making it, yes with the help of your husband and son, but still, you are also very handy.
