Thank you Ashley for acknowledging the need to have a ceiling fan! I ogle over beautiful light fixtures but am not willing to give up ceiling fans in each room. I often wonder how people manage without. I know I can’t be the only person who feels like I’m missing out on this lovely design element of a light fixture, so if you ever do a segment on making ceiling fans look classy or luxurious or to how to tie a ceiling fan into room decor I would love to see it!
I always think it’s silly that it’s almost taboo in the design world to have a ceiling fan or a TV in common spaces in a home. I don’t care how beautiful a space looks, if it’s not functional it doesn’t work. Your home and style is beautiful. I want to see more spaces from designers marrying design with functionality together unapologetically.

Yes, I love art over a bed for sure!! Those mirrors one each side of the bed are just so large that adding a piece of art in the middle felt really overwhelming, I’m sure I’ll change things up in a few months or so, lol! Thanks so much for watching!

Our walls are lime washed, I love them! Nothing above the bed, our headboard is quite tall and with the large mirrors flanking the bed, I liked the simplicity of leaving the wall above the bed unadorned 🤎
Our walls are lime wash in the color Fairview by Portola Paints. The drapery fabric is just a simple linen that is a few shades lighter than the walls!
Love your videos. Do you use white duvet during winter or do you change your bedding colours. How many centimeters above your night stand do you hang your mirrors
I have two different sheet sets/duvet covers that I change between throughout the year, one is cream and the other a flax color. I just change them out whenever I'm feeling like I need a refresh. I generally hang mirrors anywhere between 6"-10" above a chest. Depending on the height of the chest and the size of the mirror. Hope this helps!
Well, this is a dilemma for so many of my clients. I think that if you use your shutters for privacy, it's fine to have shutters and drapery panels, but if the shutters are not a necessity, I usually like to remove them from windows, it always makes a room feel instantly lighter and brighter. It's from a brand called uniq'uity. (www.uniquitystyle.com) I have several of their throw blankets and pillows in my home and I love them!! The one on my bed is the Kurlisuri Throw, it's Alpaca/Wool boucle.
Although I appreciate the tips and advice, not everyone has a bedroom as large as yours. It’s to be envied. If you cut down the size by a quarter, you have our bedroom. Not that it’s small, but ours just doesn’t have the space yours has.
It's basically a mini apartment masquerading as a bedroom. Whereas there are people with full apartments smaller than this bedroom. I can't imagine being wealthy enough to be able to afford something like this.
If you want to turn your bedroom into a love nest there are three things it should not have…a TV, a work station and workout equipment. This bedroom has two of the three so it does not qualify as a love nest.
