Had my 6hp about 6 months. Still looks new, been out to sea about 8 times. Starts first pull every time. Loving it. £440. HAD SUZUKI 9.9HP before it which was tad quieter but just too heavy to lift on and off boat and walk 100 yards up beach at low tide.. Just throw this on my shoulder, all I can manage at 55.
Hell yeah Shevy! Ive had my 12hp Hangkai for a while now and still running great these videos are why i bought one and dam glad i did for 1200 bucks cant go wrong. Ur the man bud keep up the great work!!!
Man I appreciate it alot I hope to have more coming. Thanks for the support and hope you have good luck out of your hangkai there is a Facebook group for hangkais
I have the same engine. One thing to note, I only run 93 octane gas from Shell in it. I was running 90 octane rec fuel (no ethanol) and it would constantly putter out at died...could be a bad batch of rec fuel, but the shell 93 runs great.
I have a 13' Saturn inflatable boat and I'm looking at getting the 6hp over the 12. Because most of the time I'm the only one who is using the boat for fishing, but with my family I just want to have it for a comfy cruiser. Thanks
It should be just right! I have recently upgraded to a 25hp and I think think the 12 would be a good option too can run the same speed with less rps so it would be a little quiter.
if yours came with a plastic prop (cheap) swap it out with a metal one the plastic will bend and warp back which equals loss of power ...... but ya great 6mo follow up vid review
Dude I just got mine. I'm putting it on a little bit bigger boat. I'm really tempted to use two and run staring cables. Really curious how it will go. However I'm tearing out some of my flooring and gonna rebuild it lighter then repaint so I have a ways to go before mine sees the water in full force.
I'm not a affiliate I order off ebay tho from one that said us stock and got it with a week tho! If you wanna support my content tho , you can hit the like hit the like button and subscribe 😉
I probably should weight it I have been asked so many times, but just guessing I'd say about 20 30 lbs lbs. It's pretty easy to put on my boat by myself and I can carry it easy with one hand.
I am tempted to give it a shot i had the coleman 5hp didnt like it. Seemed like it was more. Like a 3hp instead of a 5 went the same speed as my minn kota on my 12 foot alluminum with just me and 30lbs of gear and im only 270 with no deck in my boat its bare so not too much weight
