I had the rare privilege to get to party with Hank Jr. one night at a bar in Newport, Ky., named "THE FUZZ CLUB". It was a Sunday night, and I was sitting there at the bar listening to the band, and in walked Hank Jr., there by himself to visit with the musicians in the club. We sat side by side at the bar, and he bought my drinks and we danced all night long. He was a perfect gentleman, and very down to earth. He didn't act like he thought he was anything special. He was delightful, and I will never forget the night I got to party with Hank Jr! Not too many people get to say that!

When I first seen Hank Jr perform I wondered why he tried to be his dad. I didn't know until later in life that he was basically forced to. After his accident, he came out as more of his own. I like his music much better when he is himself. I love Hank Sr, but Hank Jr is his own legend. And it's amazing Hank III looks just like Hank Sr. I'm lucky to have lived to see all 3. :)

Well, 10 years later and after watching another one of his concerts this weekend, it sure seems Hank was right. Y’all can keep the change! We gave up on football and all sports after the kneeling debacle and every one of my friends did the same. But we all still go to Hank Jr shows!

The people they lost with that tend to be the ones with more money to spend on entertainment so it wasn’t a smart business move, but we all know the average footballer ain’t too bright. You can speak your mind, but if you're going to be a public figure and speak on television, you're expected to at least be able to speak like somebody who isn't on a drunken rant. Jr. frequently comes to St. George's Island and eats at Boss Oyster in Apalachicola. In the 70's frequented the Country Night Clubs & played all night long. We loved Chives Regal & he drove a red & white Cadillac at the time & a old blue jacked blue Ford truck.. He was wild & crazy and yes he loved the ladies especially one of the bartender's. We Loved to fish with Merle Kilgore & Nancy then played all night long in the Gold Nugget a Country & Western Nightclub.

I was in baton rouge at one of his concerts when he got f***** up and told us all to go f*** ourselves and we boot him off the stage laugh out loud he came back and he played a kicking show and I got to see Earl Thomas Conley twice I love Hank
Actually, besides the glass eye he also had to have multiple corrective surgeries. When he fell off of the mountain his skull and brain were penetrated. The only thing still on his face was a single eye. His nose was pushed up into his skull.
