@@TheLouise24 we get old ...we finally figured out what's up...then we die and are born again to a thousand lifetimes...for the good hearted of the EARTH 🙏
Hank Williams. I didn’t like country music but when it was played at home all the time, he stayed in my head n today I listen to him too ,, so much 🦅😎. Gone to Soon ,, he sure made alot of songs, n I think they are all GREAT 👍🏽
All the kids in class thought I was nuts because I idolized Hank Williams in high school. I didn't care...even then, I knew lasting quality when I heard it.
I got laughed at too. I was in high school in the late 1960s. But I loved Honk Williams, Sr and other Country singers. Country music today can’t compare.
When I walk into a diner after driving all day and Singin all night , if theyre playin todays cuntry I gotta get the hell out of there. That damned music drains my energy and makes me glad I stayed loyal and true to my music
Because he lived in physical pain and likely his share of emotional pain. But when making music,he was undoubtedly happy as could be. So yup....both emotions pour out.
I remember the first time I listened to Hank williams. I was 13 and when I heard his version of lovesick blues it sent a chill up my spine and ive beeen addicted ever since. No matter how bad things get his music gets me through it
I have played Hank Williams Sr music oll my life he is the best country Singer ever along with Lorettatr Linn real county music at its very best god bless them both
One great Singer and Hank does this singing so easlily, a person never get tired of listening to great Country Music this big time. Thank you Wouter Linschoten for making this great video, sounds great .
Hank Sr was my parents age. At first my favorite was Hank Jr but then I realized that at that time he was just singing his dad's songs, and he was good at it but it was Hank Sr that I really liked and he's been my favorite all time singer ever since. I love him. He had old fashiond soul that tugs at your heart. Love you Hank.❤
i had a deam looking out the back window of big car with hank williams someone was driving us heading east i was looking out the window over the country fields and the railroad tracks some little yellow flowers wind blowing and a white fabric or shirt like a curtain blowing in the wind now listening to him years later thanks my mom threw all my albums away 894 vinyl so im greatfull thanks
Little Jimmy Dickens once said that many times Hank fell because he suffered from spinal biffida as well as his issues from the horse accident. He had to take morphine for the pain. Not many people know that.
I have a couple of 78rpm Hank William records. I was born in 1942 and we listened to the Grand Ole Opry on Saturday nights and I became a Williams fan. I was 11 when he died and I sat on a stump in our back yard and cried. I remember that day vividly.

Hank Williams has been my favorite country singer since I first heard him on dad's 78 rpm records when I was a small kid in the early 1950's. I was fortunate to meet and visit with Don Helms (Hank's steel guitarist) for an afternoon at a steel guitar convention about a year before he passed. He was so friendly and full of stories about Hank. What an outstanding highlight of my musical life!
I’m proud to say that I grew up on listening to Hank! My Dad has been a Hank fan as long as I can remember! I will make sure to tell my grandnephews about Hank!
When I think of country music, I think of Hank Williams. Matter of fact, Hank would be the ONLY country music I would need. This collection is also is GREAT, because I heard 3 songs I hadn't heard before. Which is always a treat.
Dear sir I can’t believe you’re great uncle had the privilege to perform with hank Williams I am a fan since I was ten I’m 67 years old and never get tired of this music ❤
There's no one can feel his shoes he is the best then now and forever there's no one else like Hank Williams he will always be the man that was the best there ever be I wish I could have met him I did meet Jr and God I rocked down I really love old Jr as well that man loves his dad
I became a Hank Williams fan back in the 60'S and l bought the UK release of this small sized LP ( l think it was known as a 10 inch ) l still have this today but this same photo of Hank on the sleeve is a black and white picture. MGM released one more LP in this odd size, which l also have. All the rest of my HW LP's are in the standard size.. l don't play my LP collection at all, these days, having replaced everything with CD's. I guess someone might make a bit of cash for themselves, one day, from all my old albums, if we still remain a cash society!
Think that ten inch record is called the immortal Hank Williams, I bought it also in 1960 and still have it,and memorise every song on it but stiff fingers stopped me from playing guitar anymore .
A bar I used to drink at back in my younger days had the same band every Saturday night for years and years. A girl headed the band and always liked me as I used to shoot at the same Gun Club as her. She knew I always LOVED this song so anytime I was out bar hopping on a Saturday night and stopped into that bar regardless of the time, they'd finish the song they were playing and immediately go right into Mansion On the Hill! I'd turn around and look her way and smile in appreciation and she'd look back smiling as if to say " I remembered" !!
Nice playlist. A bit of static and a few glitches, but that just makes it feel more like the early fifties when we'd hear Hank on an old unreliable radio. Nice memories.
I have wright a comment but where is it ? It was : your voice is unforgettable cowboy song and l think Merle love your côuntryloversong ❤ me also!!! RIP with billions thanks and admiration for ever 👍❤️🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻!2023/05/25)❤
Anyone who partied with Hank would have to be at least 85-90 yrs old now as Hank would have been 100 this year. So to find someone who was lucky enough to have met Hank who actually use the internet at 90 is like drilling for oil in times square not very likely I'd say. If there are more than a handful still alive who knew Hank I'd be suprised. 20 yrs ago sure there were many but in 2023 very few left. Don Helms one of his band members made lots of recording talking about Hank and what he was like, there on YT I've heard them.
I can't believe more people don't realize how much his grandson is like his grandpa in talent. I can't believe he doesn't sell a lot more tickets and albums. Hank III (the third) is his name.
In my more irresponsible years in the early 2000s I had my license revoked for a year; not to mention lack of a vehicle from the same infraction. I was still saving up for another car when my license was renewed. My pops was cool enough to loan me his ride to drive back and forth from school. It only had a tape player, and I only had CDs, so I started listening to his favorites. I was amazed when they became mine as well.
hIS GRAN'PA WOULD BE ASHAMED OF HIM IN MORE WAYS THAN ONE. HANK Sr WAS NOT A HARD ROCK DOPER AND HE DID NOT MAKE A MESS OUT OF EVERYTHING HE ATTEMPTED.
No, but he was an alcoholic and hot into a lot of fights... but we ain't gonna hold that against him. He was an exceptional music artist. Same goes for H3.
