My husband has dementia and I placed my phone by his bed and turned on Hank Williams and let them place. When looking in on him his hands would be keeping time to the music. He seems so very content. He learned to sing by listening to Hank’s songs on the radio. We have many albums of his. What a loss we suffered when he died so young.
Yes, because it brings them back to that happy time in America and in his life you’re doing a good job. I hope somebody does this for me. God bless you.
Have to say I have been listening to Hank Williams most of my life began in Denver,Colorado picked up on Hank by way of next door folks were a little bit country. Have been digging Hank since and let me tell you all..Near 87 years of Mr.Hank Williams..Yeah Man!!!
Rachanee Suzie Q I was listened to him since I was 14 and I am still love to listen to his songs. I love his songs and his voice. Now I am 77 and I love to listen to him. Many thanks for all these songs. Thank you so much again.........
@@ItsClodsire that is true I'm only 23 and I have listened to his music and alot of older singers growing up there was more story and feelings in songs back then not many nowadays with anyone getting a contract cause they look good
I'm so lonesome I could cry . In my culture we are taught to watch our words but right now I wish I were dead. Creator forgive me but I miss them. Forgive my harsh words to my son 😢😢😢
Dale was one of these guys, O.K. back in the day it was buffalo tool. I felt so ashamed that my friends were ripping him off. Just for a gocart I've never been that way. 🤔
I love this music .also grow up with it .the music and lirics to the songs have a meaning to the song words a so soothing to the hart and sole . Be with me too the Day I die
I'm 72 and I grew up listening to Hank Sr. He grew on me when I was young. My dad would sit in our living room and listen to the old music like this. I loved it then and I still love it. You don't hear good music like this anymore. Such wonderful memories. I hope that I will be able to listen to it the rest of my life. I have brought my children and grandchildren to listen to it also. I gave them my dad's record albums. They sat and listened and couldn't believe anyone as young as Hank was when he wrote some of his best songs. People lived more life back then than today. People lived harder lives then.
I'm the same age-December coming I am 73- Loves Hank Williams, the other Hanks- Johnny Cash, George Jones, Marty Robbins, Patsy and Loretta and a host of other singers from 50's-60's era. Singers from the last 30 years like Vince Gill, George Strait, Alan Jackson, etc. Hank sang songs about Life no doubt. Took awhile for my two daughters both in their 40's now to like country music, now they do. Best wishes from Newfoundland-The Rock.
@@QWZXM I am really enjoying this album and this God-given talent!! Am reliving growing up listening to this blessed man given to us for a very short time!!
Hank Williams put so much thought & emotions into all of his songs & made them so relatable. I know that I can personally identify with quite a few of his songs.
My ex husband ( God rest his soul) sounded just like Hank and the first time I heard him sing I thought it was Hank and was I blown away when I found out it was actually my ex husband singing needless to say I love Hank Williams and so does my son
Merry Christmas 🎄🎄⛄🎄🎄 Y'all We have been listening to this album pretty regular here lately today and most days in fact and then enjoying it so much! Thank you so kindly for sharing this with us

Hank was a natural Musical Genius. Understanding how Hank Jr was such a mess requires only understanding the defective psyche of his mother, Audrey. Hank Sr. is still the Benchmark.
Seen h.williams jr.i was 10 he was 14 he was dressed in white it was brookside drive-in they were showing h.williams story movie the family Williams were there to perform after the movie I got to stand right in front of Hank Jr I asked him if he liked me smiling at him he looked to his mom like get me out of here he looked just like his father blond hair skinny and young. Then what he looks like as he got older and heavier. Yes I seen him in 1966
'found HANK AFTER HE passed away in 1954, while in high school nd have never stopped LOVING HIM i wish i could have attended the GRAD OLD OPREY. Angelo FROM Brooklyn
Beer joints and honky tonks the the life Hank Williams. It's the high guitar players and singers get from the crowd. People that never get there never know the high it gets you. Playing in front of a few to millions it's the high of honky tonkers guitar players. Go down south to the small town honky tonks you can hear music from people playing guitar and singing and think this person is great they should be in Nashville. The high to us is the honky tonk music we play and sing.
Thank you Hank Thought I was a lonely Man until I heard our Savior's Cry from the cross; "My God, My God why have You forsaken me". For God so LOVED the world. Praise The Lord for our Blessed Savior. E.John.B.
I am..... Been a Hank fan ever since I heard him the first time when I was about 3 or four years old and my daddy had him on the record player..... Fell totally.... Madly in love with this man couldn't get enough...... Then when the movie came out when I was maybe 10 or 11 years old.... Your Cheating Heart ...... With George Hamilton as Hank and Susan Oliver as Audrey fell deeper for him........ Can't get enough..... He made country sound so good...... Love Hank JR........ Too !!!!!!....
70 years ago tonight this great man went home to the Lord, forever resting with the one who gave you such a wonderful gift of music, rest in peace Hank Sr. Dec.31,2022
@@randallhutchcraft5518 I understand the misery of a back problem- I was a train conductor and my back was broke in a train crash in 2014. Never had a pain free day since. Hank Williams was trying to escape a terrible pain that got him in the end. Many days I wished I would die due to the back pain. It still hurts to this day.
This is the best. Absolutely best. I am from Czech republic and I love it. You are still the Master of country music. Thank you for your music Master🤠. Diana
A way back when at the old grand ole there on stage with the lights turned low was this person on a piano talking to Hank Williams as if he were here with us, everyone in the place was sobbing. I'll never forget that. If I remember correctly I think the opry was on Church st. in Nashville at that time. I visited the opry from Canada when I got home people gathered around me to hear my stories of my visit to the opry.
I'm 88 yes I always thought he was a Genius I cried when I heard of his passing on radio I was a teen I listen to him sing every Day Noone as good talented as he was ever
It's 2024 now my dad's still kickin his just died 2 years ago I'm 25 now and it feels good to know that I know Hank's name let alone his music I'm glad I could be part of it and one of the few to keep the memories going it won't last much longer but I'll cry to em just like my great grandad did and the only thing I can hope for is I can run a smoker half as good as the two before me
was deckhanding on my uncle's m/v "esyrock" oil fields of texaco lake pelto and caillou isle 1950-51. hank williams was no. 1 with all youngers then. korean war started, didn't matter as we had hank to listen to. three years later, was drafted. hear hank in person at terrebonne high school auditorium, houma, louisiana. there's much more to this story but not very nice.
