Hannah is right about the whole ‘all we talk about is deep stuff’ I agree, it’s constantly I love you, I care about you not as playful or relaxed.. always so intense
she actually meant that its just shallow words...that are packaged as deep and meaningful. But she doesn't know any of the deeper stuff about him like what he's actually like and all.
I don’t think you realize she really likes him, has deep emotions for him and fell for him quickly and if you ever been in that situation before you would know it’s not that easy
Luke P. isn't pyscho. He's arrogant, used to getting his own way, un self-aware, overly competitive and can't turn it off-hence his butting heads with the guys. I also don't think he understands that Hannah is a real person- not an idea. He decided she's who he wants and he's gonna win her other guys be damned and he's trying to win her by feeding her what he thinks she wants hear- even though they have zero emotional compatibility. And he's familiar to her. Like the guys she's likely dated in the past and she's attracted to him and trying to make it work...as one does at 24. She'll let him go...eventually but in another setting, she'd probably date him for awhile before realizing he is who he is and isn't going to be who she wants/needs him to be. Thank goodness she's got other guys like Tyler there or she may have ended up with a guy like Luke.

He takes no accountability and twists words. When you really listen to him he doesn’t really say anything at all! He just repeats what Hannah says to him and gaslights every situation he’s in!
gulc04 I think you’re right. When she realizes he’s like the mistakes she’s made in the past it will be an epiphany. We saw this with other bachelorettes like Rachel.
He is not a psychopath, but he is definitely a narcissist. It’s hard for people to differentiate personality disorders, so they automatically label people as a “psycho.” And although I get it, “don’t diagnose someone over the internet,” he shows all the signs of narcissistic personality disorder. People with NPD have this “picture perfect” idea in their head, and nobody will ever satisfy that. He’s obsessed with the way she makes him feel. It has nothing to do with her-only how she makes him feel. Although it seems innocent at this stage, these relationships often turn abusive. He’s incredibly possessive and lacks empathy. He talks in circles and doesn’t actually listen to what she’s really saying-meaning it doesn’t register in his head. Don’t be mistaken though, people with NPD are just as dangerous as psychopaths. The red flags are not clear to most people in the beginning stages.
I think Hannah had already decided that Luke was “the one” from the beginning and doesn’t want to accept that she could be wrong . She seems to be trying in every way she can to get him to be that person she wants him to be.
I think that to. We could all se the Magic passionated connection between them in the beginning. I think that they both are in love. But both are afraid, Luke has hes walls up and Hannah is afraid that he dont feel the same.

Agreed, everything he says has no substance. Out of the entire date, all I remember is him saying the word clarity over and over again. I Hope she sees his true colours soon bc its frustrating to see him manipulate her. This is why the concept of 'the one' is so damaging. It makes us hold on to people that are not good for us because we are afraid that we are 'supposed to be with them.' When you realise that the idea of 'the one' is holding you back, you will be free to choose people who suit you a lot more and you will create a happier life together.
I love Hannah as the Bachelorette. She’s smart and she calls people out in their shit. The only reason she kept this going was because she was so infatuated with him at the beginning and she wants to keep believing that’s how he is

Seriously! Every episode has been putting so much focus into Luke P. I understand that he's the "villain" of this season but god damn. There are other men in the house it's not just him.
That is because the other men are more obsessed with Luke P than Hannah. They all kind of wish they were him. I suspect some of these men are bisexual. Remember how well Mike twerked in a speedo? That was not his first time.

It is not just attraction. Luke is the only man there who she can talk to about their common faith. They have had deep conversations about that but it hasn’t been shown. Chris Harrison shared all of that in an interview. You can bet that they will show those conversations only if they become negative because that fits in with the narrative they have laid out.
This is starting to remind me of the Cassie and Colton situation. Despite hearing so many red flags about Cassie from the other women, Colton decided to keep her week after week because he was in love with her and was just waiting for her to say the right things. Hannah is just making more excuses for Luke P. She doesn't want to get rid of him because she obviously really likes him and she's waiting for him to change. That is her biggest mistake. You never want to wait for anybody to change. Plus is this the Hannah show or the Luke P show? Because every episode so far has been focused on Luke... Really starting to get tiring and I might not even watch anymore if this continues.
You are right...but Cassie isn't a sociopath being violent with other women and faking a whole relationship to win over Colton. Cassie NEVER saw I love you much less on the first date. Cassie always told her real feelings. This guy is actually dangerous and hannah is getting so many more red flags.

He's emotionally immature, still loads of growing up to do. Maybe it's the editing but he dodges most of her questions because he's not emotionally equipped to answer them. He will definitely get the boot soon, so hopefully he will use this as a learning experience and first find himself.
She’s probably caught up with the suspense of him, not realizing he won’t open up about himself and the deep real communication for life will be absent from someone like him. There’s a shallowness. In real life there will be down periods and if he is nothing but talk and on self rather than others in deep caring and connection, in principles....it’ll be an empty relationship....as in acting, not authentic.
I see people are confused in the comments so I’ll clear things up to people who don’t get it. He’s a narcissist, and most likely has narcissistic personality disorder. I think it’s very obvious to those who have been there. It’s not “emotional immaturity” or that he’s just young, it’s a personality disorder. People with NPD are incredibly manipulative and often are abusive towards their partners after the honeymoon stage. They say everything you want to hear, because they don’t know how to be authentic. They have this perfect idea in their head of what a relationship should be, but it’s literally impossible to achieve the perfection a person with NPD expects. He literally doesn’t know how to be his true self. He just wants to “win” her over. I’m glad she’s picking up that something is wrong, but she can’t pinpoint it and may not. It’s extremely confusing when you’re in it. I did the same when I met my ex husband, to the point where I would constantly confront him and ask why I’m not really getting to know him. He was so charming though and knew how to manipulate me. I knew something was off from the beginning though-trust your instincts. If you’re a single woman reading this, educate yourself on personality disorders, specifically NPD. Maybe you won’t end up in that type of relationship, but if you do, you won’t know what’s happening unless you’re aware of the red flags. How Luke P is acting is not normal and Hannah is picking up on that.

I think eventually and very soon, Luke P is going to get sent home. I think Hannah is not used to of a guy being hard to express his emotions and so in some way is intrigued. First of all, it is difficult for a lot men to articulate their feelings. Many, if not most, have to learn how to do that as they grow. Second, I think he so focused on thinking she is the one for him (because she claimed to share his values and beliefs) that he isn't being himself, he's just trying too hard.

Trust me, if you haven’t occasionally thought about killing the person you love as much as you have thought about dying for the person you live than you are not in true love. It’s rarely easy or simple. It can be a messy roller coaster and an incredible risk all at the same.
