This video shows Hannah's unassisted birth along with her first week. Hannah, our 9th child, was born at 43 weeks and 6 days. She was 9 pounds 15 ounces and 21.5 inches long. A few hours after her birth we went to the hospital to make sure I wasn't bleeding excessively. (Tom felt concerned, so we decided to get checked.) It turned out everything was perfectly fine. My blood work showed that I hadn't even lost a significant amount of blood. The doctor was sure I was getting preeclampsia and wanted me to stay for treatment, but, again, my blood work showed that I was quite healthy and didn't have any indication of preeclampsia, other than the high blood pressure that seems to have been a result of my anxiety about going to the hospital.
I broke my toe while in labor. (I kicked something in the dark on accident.)
It was such a happy time having Tom stay home with us and getting lots of visitors to see Baby Hannah. One visitor was our home health nurse, Helene, who came and gave me my RhoGam shot.

I am just crying for baby Hannah to lose her mom so young for all the kids. I have 9 as well and it's just so sad. Her husband too. But we don't live in a perfect world and God said that he will dry every tear.

Andrea was absolutely amazing…I sincerely hate that she lost her battle with cancer so quickly and that the youngest children were SO young that they won’t remember her well. Thank God for these videos. I was 35 when my Mom died of lung cancer but I don’t have a single video or recording of her voice. I wish I had at least one.

I have tremendously enjoyed watching your videos and these will be cherished by all of the children forever...I lost my mom when I was 2 years old and I have no memory of her at all...I only wish I could have had these treasures Andrea created for them. I know the girls will enjoy still being able to learn all of her motherly, homemaking skills directly from her. What a blessing these videos truly are. Like so many others, I am re-watching this video and crying. I might not have known Andrea on a personal level, we never would meet on earth, but knowing the sense of loss this brings, shows the impact she made on my and many other lives. She and Cyrus are safe in the arms of Jesus - knowing no pain and nothing but love. I wish I had a mother as patient and gentle and as loving as Andrea. My mom had me at 16 and had no idea how to be a good mom. I was screamed at pretty much my entire childhood. I learned how I did not want to raise my children. This video is a beautiful memory of a beautiful family.❤❤❤

And how do you look so flawless and beautiful after JUST giving birth! Of course natural birth at home is SO much less steessful and you bounce back so much quicker! With my medicated hospital birth, I koomed awful, with my natural unmedicated hospital birth I bounced back ao much faster.

I watched this when you first posted it and I was still pregnant. We finally had our baby with a hospital midwife water birth. June 16 on his due date. My labor surprisingly went longer for my 4th labor of 14 total hours. 3 hrs at hospital and 30 minutes maybe intense in water contractions and 1 contraction of pushing. So fun to compare stories. He has just as much hair as your Hannah.

RU-vid finalized the removal before I even knew it happened. Our appeal did nothing because it was already final, nor did any of the supportive messages people sent in. (It still did my heart good to know all of you were speaking up for us, though.) We talked with someone at RU-vid who was going to investigate our "rare" situation, as he called it. After many messages, we got a form e-mail that just said the video violated community guidelines for nudity. Silly, considering there wasn't any nudity and if you watch any birth or breastfeeding videos here on RU-vid, it seems borderline insane that mine was a violation of anything. I don't have a strike on my account for the violation, which is also weird. At any rate, I just decided to upload it again.

Takes me back to my homebirthing. It truly is the best experience and so intimate and beautiful. People forget that this is how it was intended to be. Hospitals are only necessary when health risks are high during delivery. I know your family is grieving but hopefully when you find this comment you'll feel blessed and celebrate in the fact that God has given you the miracle of witnessing Andrea live on through all the beautiful faces of the children He gave you.
