Hannibal, MO - Mississippi River (Ep.15) 

I live in the U.K so I dunno if this will mean too much, but it was an approximately 240 mile route starting in Somerset and travelling steadily North until I got to Stratford upon Avon. From there I went back down through Oxford, finishing at High Wycombe. Camped along the way, which undoubtedly reduced the overall price pretty significantly. Also the feeling of carrying your shelter, food, gas, repairs and clothes all off your own steam is pretty satisfying. Overall 5 very memorable days :)

This video brings back some memories..lived here briefly as a youngster, circa 1985. I used to have family on ziegler..until they built the damn highway 72. Beautiful town, friendly folks..blessed to have been able to experience it! Nowhere like it👍🏼

Love this and all of your trip. Grew up in in the Hannibal/Quincy area and did my undergrad in Rock Island at Augustana. Now live in Utah... every time I watch your videos I feel like I am right back on the river I love sooo much. Mountains are nice, but if you grew up on the Mississippi, nothing can replace it!

Can't wait till you-all get down to my hometown of Baton Rouge - watching these videos helps me feed my inner Huck Finn!

I've been to Hannibal MO twice with my parents while taking my Jessie back to school and it's a really neat fun town and I love learning Mark Twain, Huck Finn, and Tow Swayer. The Light house is always closed.

Dude I love the stuff you do I saw all the intransits from the begining when you started, I would love to go on one of these journeys with you, I always wanted to do this type of stuff, I still dunno how your paddling like that everyday, you say mind over matter. I believe it cause this one is definitely the hardest journey by far it just had to be so hot on that water, but love it man keep on doin what you do

Great episode!! You should check if you could qualify in the Guinness Book of World Records for the longest distance between human and truck for that truck honk. I just learned a bit about Tom and Huck... and that you should get to Hannibal before 8pm.
