Damn. W. I really don’t have Hannibal that high. He’s more on par with my other fav antagonists but he is really great (I have like 20 fav antagonists and they’re all relatively close/hard to rank)
Definetly not, Mads Mikkelson's performance was amazing he displayed complete control and authority at all times whilst displaying such a powerful aura whereas homelanders character requires a less skileld actor to play. Anthony star did an amazing job but he's not on that lvl
Damn man I never thought I'd see the day when both Logan and stringer lost to another antagonist at mid diff and btw I think gus is becoming a little underrated I still have Gus above homelander
W edit, can’t wait to see how Hannibal compares to the other shows Personally, I would give Dialogue, Quotes & Characterization to Stringer and Logan, but I can see all of those points going either way If I had to give my take on each of the matchups in this video: Hannibal Negative Diffs Gus Hannibal Low-Mid Diffs Chuck Hannibal Low-Mid Diffs Homelander Hannibal High Diffs Logan Hannibal High Diffs Stringer Bonus Rounds: Hannibal No Concept Of Diffs Whiterose Hannibal No Concept Of Diffs Childress Hannibal Beyond Negative Diffs Phil Hannibal Beyond Negative Diffs Billy Hannibal Beyond Negative Diffs Ralph Hannibal Beyond Negative Diffs Lalo Hannibal Negative Diffs Negan Hannibal Negative Diffs Mitchell Hannibal Negative Diffs Roswaal(Anime) Hannibal No Diffs Hank Hannibal No Diffs Tywin(TV📺) Hannibal No Diffs Beatrice Hannibal No Diffs Clay Hannibal Low Diffs Ougi Hannibal Mid Diffs Kavanaugh Hannibal Mid Diffs Aizen Hannibal Mid-High Diffs Makishima Hannibal High Diffs Azula(Comp) Hannibal High Diffs Griffith Hannibal High-Extreme Diffs Utsuro Johan High Diffs Hannibal
How is hannibal the antagonist? Isn't the show literally called hannibal, i thought it was from his perspective ?is it actually from Will's perspective (I haven't watched it yet btw)
Personally I never found Hannibal that impressive, at least the TV show version. Idk about the novels. Sure he's infinitely better than Gus and Homelander, but I think Johan, for example, is above him by a decent margin (like high diff). I'd say he's around Chuck level. Logan victim imo. His dynamic with Will is peak indeed. Probably the thing I like most about his character.
Hannibal in the series doesn't have as much depth. In the novels he is explored more and has more prominence. Hannibal in the series is still interesting, but he doesn't reach the level of the great protagonists like Tony Soprano, Don Draper, Bojack, Walter, Jimmy, Elliot, etc. Even rust cohle puts up a fight.
@@dshhung A God Complex can be defined as a delusion of grandeur which is characterized by persistent and unfounded belief in ones own of superiority, capability and entitlement Basically think of it like a Mega-Evolved Superiority Complex
@@dshhung Personally I don’t really use Main Theme as a point and Hannibal is a great example of why, because characters like him make it very difficult to determine a singular theme that defines their character
Nha bro, if it was the Hannibal in the movies, im colse enough fine, but this? Nha... sorry... this hannibal its not close enough to the old one and even colse to the villians that you put here
@@Nobody34499 PD: i dont say that the actor of the NBC hannibal its bad, but in the movie shows perfectly how they describe in the book of Hannibal, a guy whit class and sadic whitout cross the line of overreacting, its perfect
@@MangekyoS. NBC Lecter is a Much more Profound and Complex Character in Philosophical, Ideological and Psychological Terms. NBC Lecter's Dynamic with Will is much Better Explored than SOTL Lecter's Dynamic with Clarice, and NBC Lecter is overall a Much more Explored Characters. I can't think of a Single Category Hopkins's Lecter takes.
@@Nobody34499 In terms on that... sorry but that's the problem, Lecter in the book and in the movie (practly the same) shows you that this character doesn't need that, its like you say that Joker of Joaquin phoenix its better of the Joker of TDK bc he's profound and complex, we need to know that in a certain way, there's a characters that's better whitout that profound and complex, i mean, were talking abaut a serial killers, they only need to prove what they capable of do, not to be explore, y' know?
