If Chess wants to be taken seriously as a sport he should get GM title based off of his name alone. Instead the Chess authorities are more worried about Hans' hotel rooms.
@@ThorfinnBus I’m talking about vidit because people keep saying that levy is better than hans because he beat him once. But hans is leagues ahead and just had an extremely unfortunate game and underestimated levy.
I didn’t know about him until the butt plug incident with magnus. Ever since I’ve seen him be humble and respectful to opponents and others. Plus he’s really good at chess. I like Hans

the fact that he makes quite a bit of money doing chess content actually seems pretty relevant. if he were working 40 hrs a week at a normal job and not on youtube he almost definitely would never put in the time to finish getting his norms
Well, money does take a big role in becoming better in chess tho. In my country there are a lot of promising players but because there is no support they simply can't continue competing.
Going to tournaments can be very expensive, especially to get the norms since most tournaments happen outside USA. He went to Spain two months ago and couldn't get the norm that time
Money makes a big difference, but I think it’s because levy could devote to it full time which is not an option available to the vast majority of people trying to become a GM as an adult.
He has this crazy idea to try when he's older. The older he gets, the harder it will be. Needs to stop watching Disney movies where people just always get their happy endings no matter how stupidly they behave.
No, he just doesn't think he can do it right now... Maybe in the future he will but at the moment, he just...doesn't want to or think he can without sacrificing a ton.
lol bro he is literally a chess content creator, if anyone at his age and talent level is going to keep on trying it seems like it would be him. it's probably just cap for his audience anyways. he's propagandizing the rube children that watch his channel with a "never give up" attitude so that theyll keep watching his content and buy his chess courses etc even though they probably suck and have no talent

I agree with Hans, Levy has chances to be a GM If he really wants it but in my opinion what’s the point of it? I would rather be a strong IM then a weak GM, even if he would get the GM title he won’t never be a 2600/2700 highly competitive GM, then why wasting years of his life when is already successful? Just my 2 cents
What you are saying is that Levy has a bit of talent but because he has money, he might become a grandmaster. Snidy little backhanded compliment, isn't it?
