One of his most underrated ones is Dark Phoenix. It’s under the radar since the movie wasn’t good and it flopped in box office. But that score was incredible.
The fact that he made music for a thrilling emotional space journey, and a DreamWorks movie where a fat panda learns Kung Fu is amazing (jokes aside, Kung Fu Panda is literally my favorite movie of all time)
Think of it like this, it’s his career. He will wake up and make music until he goes to sleep. He has been doing this since he was the keyboard player for Video killed the radio star. That’s 40 years of tunes !
I don't like to think there is one best. I have four favorites :) Ennio Morricone (favorites: Dollars trilogy, The Untouchables) John Barry (all the 007 stuff but my favorite is Goldfinger) John Williams (Star Wars franchise, Harry Potter, Jurassic Park) Hans Zimmer (Pirates of The Caribbean 2 and 3, Interstellar, The Last Samurai)
I knew about Hans Zimmer's masterpieces, but once I learned that he was also responsible for MW2 soundtracks I truly understood what kind of a legend he was. Thank you for gifting me so many childhood memories Hans!
