G'day guys, today we are reacting to Hanson...that's right Hanson with Ain't No Sunshine. I don't know if we've falling into an alternative dimension but this was very good. They sounded great.

I feel sorry for people who dismissed them without listening to their music, they've cheated themselves of great music. The industry wrongly labeled them as being a "boy band" despite them writing songs, playing instruments, and never dancing. They are true artists, who were talented enough to perform at a young age, and have continued improving through the years.

Absolutely!!! My Uncle had a ticket to see them with us on The Underneath Tour in 04. He ended up not going even though he wanted to cause he said it'll be nothing but screaming young girls. I wish he'd went because they're crowds are always so diverse. You're never too old to MMMBop!!

I'm wondering why a lot of people were saying that they sounded even better now, or their music is even better now... All I can say is, HANSON has always been a great band since day one! MmmBop is an awesome song. It has a dark/sad/matured lyrics, with a happy tune. Along with MmmBop, other great songs that hit the chart in 1997-1998 were 'Where's The Love', 'I Will Come To You', & 'Weird.' And when they have gone independent, the beauty of their songs and their musicality are still there. Hanson sounds great before and now. They have perfect harmonies, they play multiple instruments, and they compose their own songs since they were at the age of 6, 9, & 11. They are so talented in their craft. And they are real good people. Hanson may not be in the Mainstream music anymore, but they have remained as the most straight-up Pop-Rock band in America. They are definitely one of the gems of the music industry.👌💓 Thank you for this wonderful reaction video of Hanson! 💞

I don't know why people are "shocked" that Hanson could sing. They always could, even when they were kids. If you see footage of them singing a capella when they were kids, you could appreciate it even then. And if you see footage of their concerts when they were kids in their "Mmm Bop" days, they always did good covers of like Motown songs and stuff. Even if people aren't into them because their songs aren't to their taste, they always could sing and play very well. Edit: Watch their acoustic Underneath live concert, it's in sections on RU-vid. They do a cover of Teach Your Children that's really good. (I like it better than the original). They also do Rip it Up.

Duuuddeee... I came across this looking at Hanson stuff.. if you have not listened to them since MMMBOP you have MISSED OUT! Hanson fan here since 97. They have NEVER stopped performing and releasing albums and have a huge loyal fan base, they only faded from the mainstream when they went independent in 2003/4 after some problems with their record company and didn't have the backing of a record company to spend half a mill to get songs on radio. They tour basically every year and have released well over 25+ cds of material including studio, demos, Christmas, live, acoustic and fanclub EPs. They are constantly doing different projects, they even toured with an orchestra in 2019 (I seen them at Sydney Opera house) and had a worldwide sold out anniversary tour in 2017. This year they were on the US MASKED singer and did amazing. They own their own beer company. They have Hanson day festivals in Tulsa every year as well as hosting beer and music festivals that people will travel to from all over the world. They have back to the island where they take a holiday in Jamaica every year with fans at a resort and perform concerts for 4 days and do activities with the fans! I could give you a list as long as my arm of amazing Hanson music to react to if your interested?

They are one of the most talented bands to ever exist. Have loved them since 1997 I love how speechless people are when they see and hear the grown up Hanson. But this is what happens when you leave the industry as a whole you can actually do what you love ❤️

You should react to more Hanson. They had a new song come out Friday July 2nd called Only Love. They also just released a song in June called Don't Ever Change featuring Rick Nielsen from Cheap Trick. It's very 80's rock. In May they released a song called Annalie, and it's kinda folksy. They have a short album coming out in November, and are releasing a song a month. I know most people know Mmmbop, but they have a lot of other great music besides that. They are very talented, and have always written all their music and played lots of different instruments. They even wrote MMMbop when they were kids. The one that sang lead this time is Isaac, the one on the keys is Taylor and the other is named Zac.

I couldn’t do this trio during their teen-bop stage either. I was in my 20’s and past that. I recently saw a YT video of them covering the Bee Gees ‘Too Much Heaven’ at a live performance (in Australia!!) and was blown away. I’m okay with their more mature stage in music. ☮️

Hey I was at that concert, it was at the Opera house as part of their string theory tour with a orchestra. I was sitting pretty much in the exact area the girl filming the video was sitting. It was truly a special moment. Everyone went so quiet besides their voices you could hear a pin drop. It's unheard of to be able to shut up a crowd of Hanson fans for that long 😂
@LisaD-fy8xy
@LisaD-fy8xy 3 года назад
When it comes to their 'teen-bop' stage I maybe recommend checking out if you didn't hear it at the time 'weird'. It came out on the same record as 'mmmbop' but the vibe is night and day from that song and shows a different side to them even back then. Also 'this time around' and 'save me' have a more mature sound and came out only 2 years later '99'. After 2003/2004 they went independent after problems with their record company and most of their music has been amazing since, yet not appreciated since they faded from the mainstream after going independent.

You are the kind of people that don’t recognize talent, or judge based simply on one song of theirs, as a fan of this group since 97, they are more than just mmmbop, they are artists! Now you can stop the other Naysayers!
@annaquar
@annaquar 3 года назад
Also, you should check out their album, String Theory, as a whole, but the version of Mmm Bop on that is actually really good. I wasn't a fan of the famous radio 90's Mmm Bop, but if you actually read the non-chorus lyrics, you'll be suprised that it's not as teeny-bopper as it seems. They were actually small kids when they wrote that, like ages 11,9 & 6 and then when they got signed, their record label produced that saccharine version.
@mythra7174
@mythra7174 Год назад
A version they did in 2016 or 2017 on ABC's Greatest Hits of the 90's of Mmm Bop is also very good. (It's here on RU-vid). Their harmonies on that are great. It's an acoustic, slowed down version. Just Isaac playing a guitar. If you haven't seen it, you should watch it. If you liked the String Theory one, you'll like that one. (They were 14, 11 and 9, actually when they wrote that song - they started as a band at 11, 8 and 6 {or something like that}). They have a pre-fame version of this song from when they were even younger than the radio version.

Thank you for being open minded and listening to them. MMMBOP if you read the lyrics and understand the biblical reference it's a very deep song. So hold on to the ones who really care cause in the end they'll be the only ones there. In an MMMBOP they're gone, in an MMMBOP they're not there. MMMBOP is a frame of time. Have you ever talked with someone over the phone one day and the next thing you know they've died in a car accident? In an MMMBOP they're gone. Hope this helps you in understanding what the song is about.

Please check out This Time Around. It's my fav Hanson song and it's strong in the 00s nostalgia! I'm only just rediscovering Hanson - I had no idea they were still making music. Hanson is interesting... they were essentially a one hit wonder (though, I would argue that their song This Time Around that they came out with several years later when they were a bit more mature and wrote deeper songs, was equally if not better than MMMBop) and dropped out of Mainstream after a couple years. However, they are actually still making music. Still performing and everything - you can watch some of their recent performances and releases on their YT channel. And their new music is interesting as well, kind of experimental, almost, little bit jazz, little bit indie, little bit rock. BTW, from left to right, Isaac, the oldest, in this song is lead vocalist and guitar. The youngest, Zac, is backup vocals and doing the box drumming. The one on the right is Taylor, he used to be the lead vocalist when they were younger but going by some of their newer music, it seems he's second vocalist now and still the pianist. (I've heard some other recent live performances, it seems like Taylor might have some vocal damage. He really seemed to struggle to get his voice out for This Time Around - which, to be fair, is a whole lot of belting for his part. Anyway, that might be why he's second now.)

I don’t blame you for not reacting to “Mmm Boo”! 🤣 My daughter was an early teen when that was popular and I’m with you. Years ago I stumbled upon one of their more recent videos (about 10 years ago or so) and I watched and listened to their song (I forgot the song), but I was pleasantly surprised! These three are obviously very talented! I enjoyed this cover! You’re spot on about the keyboard player! It does resemble the styling of The Doors. The older one singing lead sang that with so much emotion. I loved the little grit he put in parts. Taylor (the middle one, who my daughter crushed on back in the 90’s) was really good on the percussion board (or whatever the correct terminology is ☺️).
