Hanson was my first favorite band in elementary school, Middle of Nowhere was the first CD I ever owned and my first concert was Hanson at the Pepsi Arena in Albany NY (9/11/98 😲😲) during the Albertane tour. I was the only boy in my entire school who listened to them and everybody made fun of me for it when they found out 😂😂 But even today at age 34, I feel I still owe them a whole lot of gratitude. Zac being a drummer in a world famous band at 12 years old pretty much single handedly inspired me to pick up the sticks at age 9 and I've been playing drums ever since. There were a lot of catchy tunes on MoN. These guys were always talented and even tho I stopped listening after This Time Around, I never stopped respecting them. To this day, Zac seems like the kind of guy I could hang with and play video games any day of the week, and I'd still love to meet all 3 of them and shake their hands. But on the topic of this particular song, I legitimately dig the acoustic version, but this video reminds of the South Park episode about the Jonas Brothers, Purity Rings and Mickey Mouse. While the video has a really sweet sentiment, I can't help but see Ike as a purity ring dad 😅 If he is, no judgment from me, however I am aware of the "events" that transpired in 2020 regarding the band and a certain "incident." I personally have a thick skin and am able to recognize talent and separate the art from the artist (I love me some cthulhu mythos 😂😂) And if the brothers or their people are reading this, I just want you to know that differences in political opinion will never deter me from enjoying music, literature or anything else. And while I may disapprove of some of what you may or may not believe in, I will always be grateful to you because if MMMBop was never on the radio on the elementary school bus in 1997, I probably wouldn't be in a band who may very well end up touring with Eve 6 in the future. If I can play board games and have a blast with my conservative cousin at Thanksgiving (who is very similar to Zac personality-wise to the point where it's kind of eerie) I can still love and respect Hanson. If I ever see you guys live again, and if by some chance there's a fan of color in the audience who is being harassed by other fans or looks uncomfortable, maybe I'll start a mosh pit with them to Where's The Love? (the heavy part 🤘🤘) All fans should feel loved at any given concert. And if the love in the room should start to wane for any given reason, it's up to both the band as well as the audience to turn it around. Be the change. Walk the Walk. I hope someday we'll get to meet and I can thank you in person. Perhaps sooner than I think....in an MMMBop

He died a few years back, and his music is one of the things I cherish, that I get to have a piece of him stay with me. My father has never wrote me a song, but he sang me a lot of written ones and despiste he's not among us anymore, I remember those songs and I am never lonely

I love this. I always have the idea that I will cry while watching and yes I am right. The lyrics, matched with touching visuals, brought me to tears especially on the part saying "I'm gonna write you a lullaby. Hush, baby don't cry. So that when I'm gone..." I mean, who's not gonna cry if you'll lose a father like that? If you're a daughter and you could get inside your father's head and read all of his thoughts about you sounding like this, I'm sure it'll be hard to let go. Isaac in this video reminds me so much of my Papa. I am not the youngest but just like Odette, I have two older brothers ahead of me which makes me the first girl in the siblings department. My sweet Papa and I used to do a lot of things together when I was young - traveling, eating outside, homework, watching tv, cooking and going to the market & grocery stores. We also love singing karaoke and I am the only one in the family who can stand staying with him, singing along until dinner time. He is not a songwriter but I know all of his favorite songs and still sing them until now even he's not with us anymore - in a way I can still remember his powerful voice. He knew I love your band and your music. In the late 90's, he told me that if ever you guys would come to our country, he'll buy me a concert ticket and drive me there with his motorcycle. It was a concert that never happened back then because you never did came. Sadly, I also lost my father in the early 2000's in a horrific motorcycle accident. That is why years after when I finally had my first (and only - don't blame me. You guys do not visit our country that often) Hanson concert ticket, I cried. Not just because I remember my father's words but I'm also wondering how would it be like if we're going to watch you guys perform live together. This, Isaac, is a video the world needs right now.
