Hantek 6022BE USB Oscilloscope Teardown 

Unpopulated stuff on the bottom is for the logic analyzer part from the 6022BL model, although the BL is not a real MSO (you can't use the scope and the analyzer at the same time) but for the budget still offers nice features like here described + 16 ch really basic features logic analyzer, but still it has it, you can hook up to your arduino or other fpga stuff, until you hit 20Mhz you should be fine. Budget and entry level is the main predicate here, and don't expect fireworks which costs money in the range of $$$ or $$$$+

If you are into electronics, its difficult to do anything without a scope. Bench scopes can be had for very little these days. If you are into electronics, get the holy trinity. A scope, a multimeter, and a signal generator.

The 5pin ic (HRA) i opamp not the polyfuse and black box on top of the board is isolated dc/dc converter not relay

I have the BL version, which is basically a BE with a 16 channel logic analyser. I’m presuming that’s what some of the unpopulated board is about. I mainly use HScope on a Samsung Tab A I was given to help working with my disabilities but have always hated it until I put HScope on it. It’s a great learning device, especially when you rarely use a 'scope because you don’t know how and when to one.

Please review the FFT function! Besides being a relatively cheap entry-level oscilloscope, this is possibly THE cheapest method of spectrum analysis (above audible). Personally the FFT function is the selling point (even my oldest scope being an order of magnitude better bandwidth) as even used/for repair spectrum analyzers carry a painful sticker price. I assume if you did the teardown of the Hantek 6022BL you will find that many of the unpopulated pads on the 6022BE are for the Logic Analyser circuitry.

The Hantek 6022BE is perfect for what I do. I bought one after your video and never regretted it for a minute. I paid $69 on Amazon for mine and I still think it's a deal. Actually (around 2:45) the unpopulated stuff is for a 16 channel logic analyzer, the 6022BL. They probably have an entirely different PCB for the 4ch models.

I own one and with a 10" Android tablet running HScope it's really sweet! I was hoping for more info on the ADC chip in your teardown as I hear the HScope developer is coming out with 10bit vert resolution support on the HT6022BE! I was wondering if the ADC chip used here was even hardware capable of 10bit.

Can you measure the power of the amp to find out the wattage of a power with a hantek 6022be with a dummy load?

Ups...! Just blew my new Hantek 6022be(on its first trial run). Its also my first diode (LR206) blowup, ;-) by shorting one of the probes. Hence, no more scope. I looked inside the unit and it looks like there is hope. I found and cleaned the only area that seems to have given up. It seems to be an evaporated inductor labeled L3 near the USB cable junction on the left side of the PCB, no JP1. My problem is that I do not know what its Henry value is? Can any body hellllllPPPP me. Mile merci du Québec.

Do you know the value of those 2 fuses? I have just continuity on 1 leg each... Its dead showing SEARCHING DEVICE... Thanks

Hi Paul, I bought the Hantek 6022BE after I saw your first review of it. Interestingly that was the very first time I watched one of your videos (fair dinkum). Very good little scope for a hobbyist, it works well, very accurate in fact, and depending on your pc, a very good display! For a hobbyist or student it's ideal, comes with professional quality probes too. Cheers. ps. well done on the 9K.
