"It is the challenges that make us or break us."
This Hanuman Tibba (5,892 mtrs) was nothing like any ordinary expedition.
It was the Speed Ascent challenge that me and my team of 3 people took. Only two of us managed to reach the peak.We did manage to complete the Speed Ascent Challenge but the journey to the top was full of extremes.
We planned that we'll be back the same day after summit but the mountains had some other plan for us.
We got caught in a white-out while descending down and due to this, we missed our way back. We were not able to see anything, hence we were forced to stay. We had no food, no tent and no sleeping bag as we planned on a single day ascent and descent.
We spend the night by making a small igloo like shelter in the snow and kept rubbing our feet the entire night to avoid frostbite. Oh! how bad we missed food and warmth.
Finally, when the day broke after a long and cold night, we found our way back and reached back. It was one hell of journey, one hell of an adventure.
I have more faith in me after this, more love and respect for the mountains.
