Oda made the Gorosei mention how it was bad Luffy's bounty had the Nika form as the picture because certain groups could figure it out. Well how about a whole nation of battle ready giants that worshipped a Sun God for all these years?
How about the remaining Shandorians that may or may not have learned that the guy who beat the false kami Enel just so happened to be their sun god Nika
Tbf most had suspicions like Vegapunk and even Bonny did. But seeing it has a different effect than seeing a picture from a knowingly overexaggerating newspaper.
@@Yaseen_Arafath A certain bird man, who is very interested in creating the biggest story the world has ever known, may have sent a very joyous postcard to some interested folks.
That Spider Saturn getting stomped by Super Giant sized Luffy like an insect (contrary to what he's saying that all humans are insect) would make a rewarding ending for Egghead battle
Gear 5 battle axe would go so damn hard, imagine he hits him so hard he cracks the ground beneat and breaks some of his legs, even if he can regenerate, he still needs to recover damage, and having some bent legs, maybe an arm even, means there's a window of chance to attack him while he's defenseless
I like to think that Saturn could have actually checked the command hierarchy but only checked if Vegapunk gave himself higher command than the elders. Because that's what Saturn would have done and the idea of not taking so much power for yourself but instead giving it to a child would never have crossed Saturns mind.
Facing the Giant Pirates must be terrifying. You see a little ship out in the distance through your telescope. It's heading towards your ship amazingly fast. As it catches up to you, you start realizing that it seems to be bigger than it should be at that distance...
@countchompula1896 seems like most of elbaf rn 😂. The crew has the backing of 2 giant warrior pirates crews, those giants ussop told about dory and brogy and luffy being the literal sun God, something the giants clearly know about.
Something to keep in mind with Giants. Since they live up to 300 years or even more. For them the Void century might not have been that long ago. The oldest giants now would likely have known Giants who knew Giants who were alive in the Void Century. What is a secret to the rest of the world might be common knowledge for Giants
Exactly WaterFallbeard , a former Giant pirate Captain whom Linlin killed his Co captain in her initial Hunger Rampage is around 4centuries old. Once they reach Elbaf he will disclose major details from the time of Noland.
For a long time we've heard everyone talking about how the Giants are the greatest warriors in the world, or how the Giant Pirates were a nightmare for the Navy, etc... So having the opportunity to see two of the most powerful Giants stop a Buster Call is going to be pretty fun
Not just two, Broggy and Dorry are sure to have more than a couple standout officers in the crew like all known crews do, Oimo and Kashi notwithstanding, even though it's highly unlikely that if they hadn't sided with Sogeking during Enies Lobby then the Strawhats, Galley-La, and Franky Family would have escaped the Buster call. Hoping Saul is also on board, as a former Vice-Admiral he's also definitely no slouch.
@@kingcheerio8558 how did they got defeated by no 3. btw? Just asking because they were portray a lot weaker. Was it because they were tired from fighting with each other for so long?
I cant wait to see how strong those 2 giant will be in this Arc. Also im wondering if Saturn will completely overpower those giants 🤔 im still wondering how saturn was able to block all movements to everybody 🤔
These past chapters really made me brittle, like an old abandoned rickety chair. The way I easily teared up when Vegapunk said "it doesn't matter if the entire planet is against you... Kuma will always, always be on your side" and the way those tears burst into a full blown cry the moment Bonney finally saw Nika... I can't read One Piece in public anymore. 😓😔🙃
Real. When the last thing Kuma wanted Vegapunk to tell Bonney was “happy 10th birthday” I died bro, the tears just came and I had to hide my face from my parents 😅
They are incredibly strong they were basically Yonkou commander tier since their initial introduction by my estimation. Their Hakoku(forgive me if I'm mixing theirs with Big Mom's) Sovereignty attack is devastating
Whoever animated Usopp fighting Pandaman at 15:38 in response to Liam saying Usopp is really in the background during Egghead is an absolute comedic genius and deserves recognition.
I really like how Oda has handled the child of destiny trope. Everyone else knows this about Luffy, but he has zero idea, simply doing what he’s always done
I don't think he's destinated though, more so the legend aha been going for long enough that eventually it happened in the correct time, there'a assumedly been Joy Boys or wpuld-be Joy Boys before Luffy wjo couldn't male it, so it makes sense eventually one of them will do it, one of them had the right circustances and mind to power through and bring change
I have a theory that Luffy time travels back to the void century to fight on the side of the ancient kingdom, somehow can’t win and is brought back to the current timeline. That could be why there is a prophecy about Joyboy returning in 800 years, because Joyboy was actually Luffy who just went back in time somehow. That could be sick, that way there is no child of prophecy because it was Luffy the whole time. That could also explain how Roger knew he’d have to wait 20 years, because Joyboy wasn’t born yet. What if Roger meant he could’ve lived 20 years in the future instead of 800 years in the past when he said “I wish I could’ve lived in your time Joyboy” And we know Luffy can turn into a Giant, so the giant strawhat at Mariejois makes sense too
@@jansettler4828 whatever vocabulary police, you get what I mean. You just needed to interject to feel better, smh. You could have at least said what it actually is, but nah 😤
The Incredible thing to me is that, if this IS intentional on Oda's part, being able to calculate and plan all of his chapters to line up with the numbers while dealing with the smaller page counts and medical issues he's dealt with--this is a level of genius that would be incomprehensible.
As someone who writes and reads a lot of stories, this isn't as hard to pull out as you'd think, it's entirely possible Oda wanted to do a "titkes combine" idea since way back, and saw a chance with Dorry and Broggy and had in mind more or less who many chapters he'd need Its a lot of chapters, so he had plenty of time to get things going, specially because it's a visual medium so you can pack more events into the pages Oda's probably gigglig to himself going "I did it! The thing i was thinking of doing with the titles is done!"
This chapter had me in tears. From Bonny getting control, to Luffy saving everyone, Stella's impalement, to the return of the OG giants. Everything just broke me.
I feel like the buster call being defeated could shock the world. Thinking from a lay person’s perspective in one piece, they’ve seen buster calls called multiple times (Ohara & Enies Lobby at least) and the only option for those it’s used against is either to die on the island or run away. Especially considering that regular people wouldn’t know about the Mother Flame weapon; the buster call is probably the strongest WG weapon they know of. Defeating the buster call sets a new global precedent; it *can* be stopped. Makes this new generation look exceedingly dangerous.
I mean, from what I can see, the Giant Warrior Pirates seem to be doing all the heavy lifting beating the actual Buster Call fleet. Meanwhile, Luffy’s just staring down an admiral and an Elder Star, which in and of itself is world-shocking, but then again, we’ve got the Giant Warrior Pirates all but pledging fealty to an Emperor, and that’s shocking enough in its own right.
We all know they will meet someday but I don't think he is on their ship because he said he is not like those idiot warrior's from Elbaf which means he doesn't like them
After re-reading the chapter I think the iron giant’s power source IS the drums of liberation. That’s why Vegapunk could never figure out what powered it. So that means he powered up on the first gear 5th, but since it didn’t last long he unpowered before he could get up, but now that Luffy is at full power it’s go time! Though if this is true then the Giant coming to life and attacking the holy land in a time between Joy Boy and Luffy raises some interesting questions and possibly another epic twist by Oda hidden in the background of the story.
JoyBoy laughjng has the same vibe as AllMight laughing when saving people in MHA. Its that comfort that they give. Strong people laughing in the face of danger.
I think Luffy's comes off way more psychotic though, it'd put fear into me if I was his enemy, like he was going to have the same laugh while eating my kidney or something
Happened to me! I like his videos but man, his thumbnails get to my nerves! Why can't you wait the chapter to officially come out? This is a sad, low level of clickbaiting.
I like that you mentioned Bonney possibly controlling the Kuma Seraphim. With the way the Boa Seraphim acted towards Luffy, the Kuma Seraphim may naturally want to protect Bonney. Its interesting, the Kuma Seraphim has Lunarian and Buccaneer genes
What I truly love about this is how Powerful Dory and Brogy felt when they arrived, and the Hype that came after that. Early One Piece felt a bit underwhelming sometimes with all the Haki and Devil Fruits that got throwing around recently, but with these giants...They are the best thing that could've happened this chapter.
I am dying for Usopp to adopt the Sogeking mantle again. I need him to get a new, Elbaf-inspired mask. You could even go so far as to predict a mirroring of Sabaody where Usopp parts ways with the Straw Hats to fight with the giants, but this time he parts with them on good terms in the pursuit of leading the Giant Pirate Fleet as Luffy's First Commander.
@bradabdul In that scenario, maybe zoro leading the wano samurai would be the first commander, either sanji or jimbe with germa and the fishmen as second commander and then usopp with the giants as third, but maybe this order isn't perfect because robin could also help dragon lead the revolutionary army
This kinda feels like that mirror theory that got big a while back. This being the inversion of sabaody, the world noble is punching back, Kizaru is actually struggling, Luffy's the one who's getting escelating backup, and instead of trying to prevent it frpm happening, Bonny is now a key participant in the carnage.
I’ve been thinking about Wano and how Kaido fought a lot of enemies and that took a toll on him, and the way Luffy eventually won. In Egghead Luffy fought an awakened Lucci and fhe Seraphim. No wonder he was ended up exhausted after fighting Kizaru. While the admiral’s main objective was to eliminate Stella and his focus wasn’t on fighting Luffy, Luffy will dominate the fight from now on but his main objective will be to help his crew getting to safety. This is what makes OP so fun to read: while the fights are amazing, they are usually restricted by in-world situations that balance the power of certain characters.
Luffy fought Lucci and the seraphim the DAY BEFORE, had a nights of rest, and then a feast made by Sanji. Saying Luffy wasn’t 100% fresh against Kizaru is cope.
"betrayal at this level will certainly met with no mercy" Pages later : still breathing and alive enough to inspire bonney with no spider-cow-man to finish the job, such a classic one piece death/injury scene.
don't you think killing him with a single swift attack would be the opposite of what the spider-cow intended? he wanted to take his time poking and stabbing, inflicting at most pain, thinking he still had absolute hold of the situation but got whooshed by Luffy and the giants' intervention.
@@thetruth997_ 3 Vegapunks have died so far, Garp went MIA, a Vice-Admiral is also alegedly dead with someone getting his Cross-Guild bounty and Kid is probably completely off the endgame. Also, the entirety of the Kingdom of Lulucia was vaporized. People had died, what did you expect, a Strawhat?
@@thetruth997_1000+ chapters later and you're still hoping for OP to be like Akame ga Kill? Pick up somethin else if you need constant mc death, cuz that just ain't happening in OP
Wegapunk my man having the best design choice of all time and Bonney getting to witness Nika Luffy was awesome, and seeing Dorry with Broggy after so long here bringing that giant energy to Egghead also it's crazy that old ass robot is making more moves than Dragon 🤣
At this point, I think that Borsalino is either never going to flip, or is going to die in the next few chapters. I can’t see a world where he flips and is forgiven after explicitly trying to kill Bonney and Kuma. If he flips, Saturn kills him right away on Egghead, dying with his old friends, Vegapunk and Kuma.
That's the beauty of an adult and complex character. You don't always do what's right and then you may have time to reconsider, but it's already too late. Just how the life works.
Personally, I can see Kizaru down here. But I can see him taking Saturn with him as his last act of humanity. "I will die anway, so let me drag you to hell with me for what have you done." And following his unclear standing, he will do this when exactly no one see this. No marines, no Strawhats, and none of his old friends. He will die and all the world know is he fell in a battle against an Emperor. Done. The world will think that he is on WG side, SH also think so. While on the background where no one see THE LIGHT, he commits his big defiance against the WG and their atrocity.
I am going to assume that Saturn gives Kizaru a command, but he ignores it in order to save the marines lives, and that ends up getting him either sacked or killed.
Borsalino has been a rollercoaster of emotions this arc. I've been excited to see his rematch with Luffy, sad to see his connection with VP/Bonney/Kuma, and furious that he's just still going about his business, regardless of whatever emotions he seems to be struggling with. This was like watching Garp struggling with being present at Ace's execution but on a more subtle, sub-texty kinda way.
Something interesting is that giants have always been present during a buster call in One Piece, and this is one of the moments that has been repeated thrice in One Piece. Very clever foreshadowing by Oda
That final panel with Broggy and Dorry is one of the best damn things I've seen in my life! You just KNOW these two are here to kick some ass! They already busted Kidd's ship and about to bust up some more ships as well
I think the egg head incident will probably be that an emperor invaded government affiliated island killed vegapunk and stopped a buster call and maybe defeated an admiral or elder star
Man idk why but this entire time the Fight Between Kuma and Saturn Felt like Maui vs Tamatoa idk sounds cool might make an animation in the futrue about that
I want Luffy to beat some sense into him and itterly destroy his defeatist perspective about his role in this, maybe that's what he needs to finally realize he needs to habe a stand
Kizaru already technically won against Luffy. They both went down at the same time but Kizaru got back up with no help. Also Kizaru isn’t focusing on Luffy and Luffy admitted he used his full power 😂
Sanji, Franky and Brook are what I like to call the “utility trio” whatever miscellaneous issue the strawhats are dealing with one of them probably has a solution even if only temporary
@@jase276nah sanji the throw away monster trio, he can be around tank some hits, get a few in. But he'll fight a nobody or everyone is fighting someone already and he has a real opponent.
One thing I enjoyed was when Dorry and Broggy came to the scene they said “we came for straw hat “ Luffy’s moniker came before his new sun god title. It reassures me that the connections Luffy has made are because of him NOT because he’s the Sun God
The INSTANT I read about Bonney's Pacifista Authority I just Imagined Child-Form Bonney riding OG Kuma's shoulders shouting at her new army "Go my Armada of Daddies! Help Nika bring the New Age!"
Dorry and Broggy is yet another poetic callback moment for Oda. Egghead has done the post timeskip thing of recalling previous arcs like Sabaody, but also Enies Lobby. Just like with Oimo and Kashi, here comes the (unexpected) (giant) cavalry!
Everyone talking about big event being defeat of admiral or elder. But Morgan somehow broadcasting sun God nika with his giant friends would be bigger than either.
I've always wondered if Morgans was going to tell the world about Imu and the Gorosei, it just makes sense he uses Vegapunks tech to transmit like Buggy did at Marineford.
Since Bonney has seen Kuma's memories and is now in command of the Pacifistas, she has an equal amount of pull joining the Revolutionary Army compared to joining the Straw Hats. With the surviving Punks carrying on the will of Stella and his established association with Dragon, this seems like a good angle, and Bonney would carry on the Will of Kuma and Ginny with this move. Maybe this is where Kizaru and Sentomaru end up as well, all going with Bonney to the RA like the family they are. You get Kuzan being a pirate, Borsalino being a Revolutionary, and Sakazuki remaining a marine--the perfect three-way split.
If Kuma makes it off Egghead, but Vegapunk doesn't, it would make sense that Lindbergh would get back on repairs like he was when Kuma woke up and shot off to Egghead. That sets up the Revolutionary Army for Bonney and Kuma.
@@Pickn4Gold Exactly! Honestly, even if Kuma doesn't make it, I feel like Bonney will feel such a draw to join up because of what she saw with Kuma's memories. She's experienced the love Kuma had for Ginny and the respect he has for Dragon. It makes a lot of sense, and the "Revolutionaries" commanding an army of "Pacifistas" just goes well together lol.
Just goes to show that despite it being said by Kaido that Haki trumps all depending on your devil fruits power you can control situations that would have been impossible otherwise no matter the strength gap. Plus this was after one of the giants drank Alcohol mixed with explosives and had there insides blown out and was nearly killed by the other because if it due to not turning away from the feud after being injured and of course they were caught by surprise. Had he attacked them head on he would have stood no chance.
Ok, how about this: Vegapunk dying tells franky how to connect to Egghead memory storage and pass on all of his knowledge into him. Then next Arc we get fully upgraded S-Franky. (yup, thats my cope for Franky to become more relevant through Egghead because atm im still dissapointed he didnt get anything from Island of the future)
For Egghead being predicted to be Franky's arc, he's done frighteningly little. Interesting to see characters get completely nerf'd in the late stage like this lol.
Seeing Bonnie and Kuma realize that Luffy is Nika made me cry, like ugly cry. That raw emotion was just so intense it was immensely overwhelming and emotional. It filled me with so many different emotions I couldn't help it. It's just a beautiful moment. That double-page spread with Bonnie looking up at Luffy was absolute perfection as well. God I love One Piece, Oda is truly masterful in his craft.
My head cannon is: The giants and a shanks man were having brunch on elbaf and then another red-haired man with one arm showed up and started a fight. The one red-haired man beat up the other red-haired man and pushed him in the water. The first red-haired man felt bad about pushing him in the water so he went to get him out. After that the other red-haired man told everyone that a sun god was heading towards an egg island. Shanks didn’t really want to go and meet a sun god because he already has 5 older stars. But the giants wanted to go and have brunch with the sun god so they decided to go to the egg island to have a delicious giant omelette. And the marines were so kind that they decided to make the giant omelette out of the egg island itself.
When u mentioned giant age, I just realized that the giant don't even need to read the poneglyph to know the void century history. That event just happened around their grandfather time since elderly giant is more than 300 years old.
@@maximilianwonschik1304 that's why op said grandfather. The current giants are only about 2 generations from the void century because their long lives.
yeah Galdino's whole thing was that he needed to be strobger than his oponents to beat them, he prided on being intellectually superior and ppanning perfectly to get things done
The long awaited amazing revalation! This feels very much like the beginning of the end of OnePiece with powerful armies fighting the World Gov directly and Nika revealed to the world. It's interesting to see Saturn angry, but not worried. It seems that he still hasn't revealed his whole power.
I absolutely love the the fact that the giants are arriving on Egghead. It does tie in with the fact that 2 races with giant blood are aware and have knowledge of Nika. I can totally see some elder giant on Elbaf having a grandfahter who has seen or met Nika 800 years ago and can pass the knowledge down without goverment interference. Just like Kumas father to him and now to Bonney.
In my own theory, Vegapunk might not have even needed to put a Bonney defense program into S-bear. If S-snake was naturally inclined to like Luffy as a clone of Boa, then it's not really a stretch to assume S-bear would be naturally inclined to help Kuma's daughter. I'd go as far as saying Kuma's gentle disposition might be the malfunction that was originally mentioned. "Hey Vegapunk, our killing machine is a pacifist. What gives?"
We may also get pseudo gear 5 bonnie too. Saturn told her that she wasn't as strong in her Nika future because her belief was wavering. But now she has been completely validated!!
My favorite thing about the giants is the size if the ship. Its a row boat, they ROW IT. Imagine 5 giants moving the oars, they will cross the waters so quickly you wouldnt believe you can miss them at their size. Sure they are damgerous due to their fighting prowess, but we have seen giants felled multiple times. Imo the most dangerous thing about giants is how quickly they move about, simply because the world is so much smaller to them.
I rewatched Little Garden today without knowing the new chapter was out so when I finally read it I was both shocked at the coincidence and so excited to see Dorry and Broggy again. I can't wait for them to reunite with Ussop and him to tell them about the brave adventures he has been on.
When learning about how Kizaru's beam pierced Franky, I do wonder if he will get a newly upgraded body assuming there are still some undamaged tech to do so. If so, I bet Franky's new body should have the ability to remove the bulky parts of it whenever he needs to.
This is really nostalgic for me. I remember the giants back when I was watching OP on TV when I was 11. Seeing them back in action really made me smile. They were like "we are here to start the Elbaf arc"
This is amazing theory.. But what Im afraid if it's true then.. Morgan will know the location of ancient weapon.. The risk of 5 elders to know abt it getting higher if Morgan decided to make it as a profit information
My current feelings are that the sin committed by the Buccaneer's could be to give their consciousness to the bodies of these iron giants to aid Nika in the void century. The trait that Vegapunk alludes to being what allows them to do that. Thus explaining how Kuma can still control his cyborg remains to some degree despite how he should be dead. It builds lots of parallels with Kuma but it does seem too minor an upgrade going from their big strong flesh bodies to big strong metal bodies. So maybe there would be more too it.
991 chapters later… Dorry and Broggy playing a huge role after all this time yo is insane.. at the time I didn’t even think much of the little garden arc, I thought it was just a lil moment in the adventure on the way to alabasta.. oda is so top tier, to utilize characters from soooo long ago, u continue to surprise the fan base after all these years and it’s impressive to say the least
Ooooh... sounds like we've come to a "SOMEBODY WOKE UP DADDY" moment. The Marines surrounding Egghead are getting a one-way, all-expenses-paid trip to Davy Jones' Locker courtesy of Bonney's Pacifista-dads and a single Giant ship... remember, Oda based the Giants of Elbaf on his FAVORITE historical pirates, the Vikings of Old Norse Scandinavia. Dorry and Broggy are about to go HAM.
1:46 I knoww! I think of this too! I wonder if Saturn was so arrogant that he didn't even check lol! I bet he just assumed poor old Apple Gramps would be quaking in his compression stockings too much to disobey him. Apple Gramps 1- Saturn.. well he has 1 too bc he impaled VP, pretty strong retort ngl
for the kuma robotgiant connection. remember vegapunk reverse engineered ancient kingdom tech to eventually make egghead. stands to reason that kumas bits and bobs may be related to that so the drums liberate their senses
never stop speaking OP man; your analysis of OP and use of wordplay make every video super interesting to watch. Not to mention the art and amazing editing from the editors, super props :)
I think in order to slip his loophole under Saturn's radar Vegapunk had to tie it not to obedience, which would be what Saturn was looking for, but to love, which Saturn may have considered beneath his notice. Which may also mean that Luffy is the override key for S-Snake (as already hinted) and that has the potential to tell us some things about the other Warlords down the road. Except Doffy.
I’m really appreciating the theme of faith vs science. as much as science has been so important for humanity. It’s also so refreshing how important hope and the human spirit can be as well. Both Saturn and vegapunk, men of science, both show their genius. But it’s vegapunk’s sense of humanity that is now giving the straw hats the edge.
I swear if Saul ain't on that giant ship...It's about DAMN TIME FOR MY GIRL TO GET HER REUNION 😢❤ The end of the chapter and the revelation of why the WG wanted to hide Luffy's new wanted picture being Nika feels so powerful here: An entire giant brigade came for our rubber boy, and I feel many others are going to. Like Vegapunk said: "People have been waiting for centuries for him, wtf is a buster call LMAO" 😂😂🔥
1:41 as they say the loudest one will fall the most(your a one piece villain this is hardware in them and can never be removed no matter how intimidating you become)
I think this chapter low-key confirms Bonney not being a straw hat in the future. Prior to this the big question was always where would she go if not with the Straw Hats.. but now we have it. She has a whole army of her dads to keep her safe, to live alongside. Straw Hat ally, but alas, not Straw Hat. She'll most likely go off somewhere with whatever Vegapunks remain presumably with the goal of bringing back whatever is left of Kuma.
Definitely didn't predict Dorry and Broggy. Totally thought it was going to be Hajrudin and his crew to come get the Straw Hats. I'm hoping Stella Vegapunk doesn't die, and we get to see Chopper being a surgeon who uses those artificial organs that were teased to use however many chapters ago. That's the only way I could see him surviving.
This...this is the type of groundwork , backstory , connection building with luffy and over all efforts and care oda puts in a potential strawhat Yamato and carrot joining now looks silly compare to bonney
