The fact that every studio (Disney, Warner Bros., Paramount, Universal, DreamWorks, and Hasbro) managed to include all of their characters in one film after Roger Rabbit felt like a once in a lifetime thing really amazes me. This is easily the best live action/animation hybrid film since Who Framed Roger Rabbit.

Director Akiva Schaffer did say in an interview that he didn’t want to limit character cameos or references to just anything Disney alone because he felt it would underutilize how much animation has evolved not just for Disney, but all the other companies that were successful in their own right with animation in general.

The ugly sonic bit got me so off guard 🤣 they gave him BAGS under his uncanny eyes And they gave him a beer gut? Given the slight adult motif of this movie I guess he took on drinking but got his act together so to speak by the time this was released. The biggest thing that bugged me wasn't the teeth or face it was the fact he looks like someone with hairy pajamas on 🤣🤣🤣 Your reactions are fun

@@TimotheeReacts like a couple shots don't look so bad But seeing it play out in a scene is so...disturbing 🤣 I think it would have actually gave kids nightmares Gangsta's paradise is also the most put of place song for the trailer I'm under the impression they made that design as unappealing to get more attention but that's just me

This entire movie is pretty much an homage not just to the original Chip n Dale Rescue Rangers TV show, but also a humongous love letter to 1988’s Who Framed Roger Rabbit. And seeing the titular rabbit cameo in the film is a wonderful nod to it! Looks like Disney and The Lonely Island spared NO expense in allowing non-Disney characters and properties to cameo or be openly referenced in this entire movie! It’s basically what director Rich Moore had to go through with Wreck-It Ralph: Being paper-pushed with one contract agreement after another from different companies for permission to use their respective characters.

This movie has very adult themes with substance abuse being cheese instead of drugs and cheese dealing and trafficking instead of humans its cartoons and there bootlegged. They just dumbed them down for children. I think they did a very good job. I love it.

Disney's legal team had to go overdrive for this one and were thanked in the credits. I can't believe they managed to get Alan Oppenheimer to reprise his He Man and Skeletor voice roles considering he's 93 years old

I have to admit it, Chip N Dale is a great fun movie to watch. So many characters from both animated and live action movies, references and surprisingly they added Ugly Sonic to this movie. XD.

Interesting to note: Director Akiva Schaffer mentioned in an interview that the reason why there are many non-Disney properties cameoing or referenced openly or down to the most subtle is because he felt limiting these cameos to just Disney alone underutilizes how much animation has evolved in other companies that were also successful in their own right with animation in general.

1:53 Chip N’ Dale has existed since the 1940s long before Rescue Rangers was a thing so not entirely sure why they made the flashback take place in 1982?

Ugly Sonic was going to be Jar Jar Binks in the early script. There's an artwork of a scene revealing that Jar Jar Binks was going to do the same role as Ugly Sonic.

Chip and Dale rescue rangers is my favorite Disney afternoon show. I liked some parts of this movie. But there’s also parts I didn’t like. My favorite part is when Chip and Dale meet for the first time as kids. Really cute

Sweet Pete was actually based on the original voice actor of Peter Pan who grew up ruff after he played Peter Pan and sadly passed away because of drugs.

Of all the variety of cameos, I was pleased with the cameos of the characters in the voice acting of Rogen, and from the jokes, perhaps, the banter over the lifelessness of Motion Capture. By the way, if you look closely, you can see the graffiti of Miles and Uncle Aaron from ITSV🕷.

A lot of people were mad about sweet Pete backstory because it was exactly like the original actor who voice Peter Pan in 1953. When he got older Disney never hired him again and I think he became a drug addict which is why he died at the age of 30:(

Thomas Chippendale was the real life inspiration for the names for Chip and Dale, also why its always spelt and said as "Chip 'N Dale". The animator who created the characters came across the name in a book and liked it and decided to use it

Whenever John Mulaney talks, all I hear is Andrew from Big Mouth and Human Resources. Captain Putty is similarly animated to Gumby and friends. The voice actor for the fly, Dennis Hayesbert, is mostly known as the Allstate Insurance guy

Just watched the movie not too long ago. We can say that this is a kind of continuation of the WFRR, only instead of the noir-detective atmosphere, here it is rather the atmosphere of Sonic in the movie.

@@carlosjaimez9028 I would say this movie falls under the category where people tell you to turn off your brain to enjoy it. A lot of us see movies that really put their heart and soul into the craft, such as Lord of the Rings or the original Jurassic Park. This... It's like a lazy attempt for a nostalgic cash grab that is completely forthcoming about what a lazy attempt for a nostalgic cash grab it is. Over the past decade there have been tons of reboots and remakes from uninspired hacks in Hollywood wanting to make a buck while exchanging quality entertainment for a political narrative lecture; many of which call fans toxic bigots and Nazis long before the movie is released, causing it to flop at the box office. Years of this has caused most movie going audiences to not even bother going to see it because they're tired of spending money on garbage. When you take a step back and take a moment to think, you realize there's technically not even a reason for this movie to have been made.

Timothee, have you seen Bedknobs and Broomsticks, Enchanted or the Mary Poppins films? None of them or full animation/Live action hybrids but all of them include sequences where live action actors interact with animated characters and/or backgrounds. They’re all a lot of fun too. BTW, if you’re at all interested in the original show, Rescue Rangers had an origin movie called “To The Rescue” that’s been broken up into five parts on Disney Plus (Season 1 Episodes 13-17). It could make for a fun reaction without having to commit to watching the entire show :)
