Beautiful advice Masha Allah. The Sheikh's advice is so true, I tested it out with my husband lol they really do desire respect most. I've been trying very hard to hold my tongue and think before I speak and its having a positive effect Alhamdulillah. Shukran Sheikh for the invaluable advice.

What if the women is taking care of the household financially in addition to taking care of the house work? In our generation the wife is obliged to share financial responsibility. The man is not supporting the wife as he is supposed to do that is why he is losing his respect. If she is working towice as hard (inside & outside the house) to keep her marriage, where is his superiority?

Do all Muslim men believe in loyalty to their wives despite their differences in physical & mental attributes, despite their intellectual incompatabilities & despite the fact that they did not possibly, marry a girl who eventually did not live up to their expectations in a wife? My opinion is some Muslim men are in a happy marriage if the wife succumbs to & fulflils each of their physical desires & needs, respects & takes care of their relatives & friends but as soon as she tries to voice her personal opinion, they feel attacked & cannot take orders. They often do not want to allow their wives to grow as individuals in their own capacity with their own set of values.

I dont think all men treat their wives properly as it should,they usually choose and pick what they think is right from the din islam. They usually pick and choose from what they think is right from their men egoism,most they choose just external the beard and yhe shortness legnth of the clothes.

This started off so strongly in the beginning about equality in a loving marriage and then went downhill after 10 minutes. In my opinion men and women should be equal and both should have their say and figure out things together. Why does the Quran say a man is slightly above a woman and that women must obey their mans every wish? What if the Quran said the complete opposite? I wonder how us men would feel about this. I believe a strong man is a man who can tone down his ego and hear others out, especially his spouses. In my experience, when I get into an argument with my fiancee, I hear her out and let her explain her feelings, then I express my feelings. The end result is always positive and we move forward very quickly.
