I love this perspective on generational wounds. Through Christ we break unhealthy generational cycles but heal the generational connections and relationships. It is a challenging work, certainly something we can't do ourselves.

This was a talk I really needed to hear. I grew up with an extremely abusive mother. She's gone now and I want to say I have forgiven her but my biggest fear was having to see her again on the other side. I guess I need to pray harder about an even better healing for the SO MANY wounds she left behind. It might be a lifelong process but I know I need to work on this.
Elder homie* Gong, is certainly one of my favorite speakers, including yet not limited to Uchtdorf, "crying" Eyring and Nelson. Though, in fairness I need to go back and rewatch some, vintage, talks by said Sr most president. I love this talk so much! We all yearn for that fairy tale ending of sorts....that "Happily Ever After," but as we navigate through our very mortal world in our very mortal bodies and families, we can feel like that is completely unattainable at times. That ultimate joyful eternity can be a reality only through Jesus our Savior and His power to redeem us. I love Him and am amazed at His hope in ME!
"For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive." -1 Corinthians 15:22 I love the eternal promises contained in this scripture! We will all have the privilege to be resurrected, as well as have opportunities to have our sins remitted, when we choose to joyfully repent!
